Publication number: 20080095457Abstract: Image vibration detection methods and systems for use in a digital camera. First, a photographing process is performed to sense images. At least one first window value of a first sensed image corresponding to an absolute region is calculated, and at least one second window value of a second sensed image corresponding to the absolute region is calculated. A first focus offset is determined according to the at least one first window value and the at least one second window value. It is determined whether the first focus offset exceeds a threshold. If so, a prompt message representing an image vibration occurred during the photographing process is displayed.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 8, 2007Publication date: April 24, 2008Applicants: QISDA CORPORATION, BENQ CORPORATIONInventors: Jing-Shun Lin, Chao-Lien Tsai

Publication number: 20080062279Abstract: Image processing methods and systems for use in digital cameras. An image is captured. A region image of a specific region in the image is copied. Data information is embedded on the specific region of the image. The region image, a start address of the specific region in the image, and an offset region corresponding to the region image are recorded to an image file. The image with the data information and an offset corresponding to the image are recorded to the image file. The image without the data information can be recovered by composing the region image to the image.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 4, 2007Publication date: March 13, 2008Applicant: QISDA CORPORATIONInventors: Jing Shun LIN, Chao Lien TSAI

Publication number: 20040233315Abstract: An image auto-adjusting system calibrates digital image capturing apparatuses. An image capturing module of the apparatus adjusts displayed images according to a set of image adjusting variables. The system comprises a adjusting controller built in the apparatus and a light-path channel. The adjusting controller comprises a set of testing image files and a set of corresponding standard image files. The light-path channel enables a light beam of a testing image displayed on a display module to be captured by the image capturing module and to be an captured image file. The adjusting controller controls the testing image file to be displayed as the testing image on the display module, and the testing image is transmitted to the image capturing module via the light-path channel so as to generate the captured image file. The adjusting controller compares the captured image file with the standard image file to adjust the variables.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2004Publication date: November 25, 2004Applicant: BENQ CORPORATIONInventors: Po-Hsun Lin, Chao-Lien Tsai, Hung-Chi Tsai

Publication number: 20040227826Abstract: The invention provides a device and method to determine the exposure setting for an image of a scene with human-face area. Human-face-contour-like patterns are provided in advance. The human-face area of the scene is approximately determined according to a rule, and the specific unit of an exposure metering matrix for the image is also determined. The specific unit relates with the human-face area in the scene. Changing the weighting of the specific unit helps to modify the exposure metering matrix. The exposure setting of the image being captured is then determined according to the modified exposure metering matrix.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 14, 2004Publication date: November 18, 2004Applicant: BENQ CORPORATIONInventors: Mu-Hsing Wu, Chao-Lien Tsai, Hung-Chi Tsai
