Abstract: A backlight module includes a frame, a light bar, and a locating bar. The locating bar is connected between two sides of the frame. The light bar includes a circuit board and a plurality of lighting units, where the circuit board is secured on a support of the frame, and where the plural lighting units are engaged with plural locating grooves of the locating bar, such that the lighting units are confined by the locating grooves in a lateral direction. Therefore, during the steps in assembling the light bar, not only personnel are facilitated in the assembly work, but also the light bars can be sieved out during the assembly process, preventing the defect of material waste if illumination test is performed only after the whole backlight module has been finished.

Abstract: A direct type backlight module with ultra-thin diffuser and excellent brightness uniformity is disclosed to include a housing, a reflector, a first diffuser, light sources, and support members, in which the reflector is mounted on the bottom panel of the housing, the first diffuser is mounted on the opening of the housing and having a visible light (400˜800 nm) transmission not greater than 75%, and the visible light (400˜800 nm) transmission of the top part of each support member is within 5%˜85%.

Abstract: A backlight module having a light diffusing device is disclosed, comprising a frame, a reflecting plate, a top plate and at least one light source module, in which the reflecting plate having an upper surface is mounted on a bottom side of the frame and the top plate is mounted on a top side of the frame to space a predetermined distance from the reflecting plate. The light source module is mounted on the upper surface of the reflecting plate, including a light source and a light diffusing device mounted between the light source and the top plate. The light diffusing device has an un-uniform thickness which is inversely proportional to the distance between the light source and the top plate. Thus, the problem of non-uniform luminance distribution caused by a change in the distance between the light source and the top plate is eliminated.
