Abstract: A vehicle monitoring system includes a sensing device, a vehicle information transceiving unit, a vehicle data processing unit, and a braking unit. The sensor assembly obtains information when a vehicle is driven, as to the vehicle itself and road traffic conditions. The information transceiving unit is configured to receive the obtained information. The vehicle data processing unit performs a safety index operation according to the received information. The vehicle data processing unit also determines whether the vehicle is being driven safely according to the safety index. The vehicle data processing unit can control the braking unit to brake the vehicle when determining that the vehicle is not being driven safely. A vehicle monitoring method is also provided.

Abstract: A system for automatically installing applications across a plurality of electronic devices, each with own serial number, includes a control server, a storage server, and at least one electronic device needing an application to be installed. The control server includes a system preloading unit. The storage server stores a plurality of installation files. The system preloading unit preloads an application installation system in the electronic device. The application installation system includes a unit to discover serial number of the electronic device. The control server searches for complete and corresponding installation files in the storage server, based on the serial number, and installs such application in the electronic device.

Abstract: A movable server is provided. The movable server can include a storage unit to store information database, a searching module to search the information database according to a search request containing search criteria transmitted from a terminal and determine whether there is data in the information database matching the search criteria, a request forwarding module to transmit the search request to a main server when no data in the information database matches the search criteria, and a storing and transmitting module to transmit the information matching the search criteria to the terminal when there is data in the information database matching the search criteria and further to cache the data transmitted from the main server and relay the data to the terminal when there is no data matching the search criteria in the information database. A cloud system and a method for quickly reading data are also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of communicating with a plurality of servers includes a storage unit, a vibration unit, a control unit, and a communication unit. The storage unit stores a vibration threshold value. The vibration sensor senses a vibration magnitude of the electronic device. The control unit generates control signals and transmits the control signals to the servers via the communication unit to direct the servers to take certain actions to protect data when the vibration magnitude sensed by the vibration sensor is equal to or greater than the vibration threshold value.

Abstract: A method tests peripheral component interconnect express (PCI-E) switches. A second PCI-E switch to be tested electronically connects to a first PCI-E switch of a computing device. A first data packet is created by the computing device and sent from the first PCI-E switch to the second PCI-E switch. A second data packet sent back by the second PCI-E switch is received by the computing device. The second PCI-E switch works normally if the first data packet is identical to the second data packet. The second PCI-E switch does not work normally if the first data packet is not identical to the second data packet.

Abstract: The power control system controls a first power unit of an environmental control unit of a server and a second power unit of the server, and includes a receiving unit, a control unit, a warning unit, a determination unit, and a timing unit. When a first operating state of the first power unit is a power-off state and a second operating state of the second power unit is a power-on state, the control unit controls the warning unit to provide a warning signal and controls the timing unit to start a timer. When an elapsed time of the timer reaches a predetermined time, the control unit turns off the server. The disclosure further provides a power control method.

Abstract: An alarm system includes a number of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, an RFID reader, a warning unit, and a control module. The RFID reader receives radio-frequency signals from some of the number of the RFID tags via an antenna when the some of the number of the RFID tags are in a determined area around the RFID reader. The control module activates the warning unit when a radio-frequency signal from at least one of the number of RFID tags is not received by the RFID reader.

Abstract: A button includes a keycap made of transparent material and including a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface, a light guide block set on the first side surface of the keycap, and an ultraviolet lighting element set on the first side surface to emit ultraviolet light. Ultraviolet light emitted by the ultraviolet lighting element may enter into the light guide block, then is reflected by the light guide block to pass through the keycap to arrive to the second side surface of the keycap.

Abstract: A file transmission method detects a predetermined sending operation carried out on an icon of a selected file, which is displayed on a touch screen of a first electronic device, and detects a predetermined receiving operation on touch screen of a second electronic device. The method establishes a connection between the first electronic device and the second electronic device, and sends the selected file from the first electronic device to the second electronic device, then displays the icon of the selected device on a blank region of the touch screen of the second electronic device.

Abstract: In a method for identifying use by unauthorized users of an electronic device, a digital image of a user is captured when the user powers on the electronic device. The digital image of the user is compared with predefined images of authorized users of the electronic device to determine whether the user is an authorized user, if there are predefined images stored in the storage system. A message is sent to notify an owner of the electronic device that an unauthorized user is using the electronic device if the user is an unauthorized user.

Abstract: A method tests network ports of a network connection device. Multiple port pairs of the network connection device are set. Each of the port pairs includes an external network port and an internal network port of the network connection device. Each internal network port is connected to a loopback device. For each port pair, a data packet is created and transmitted from the external network port of the port pair to the internal network port of the port pair. The data packet transmitted to the internal network port of the selected port pair is compared with a corresponding data packet returned from the internal network port of the selected port pair via the corresponding loopback device. A test result of the port pair is displayed by a display device to indicate whether data transfer of the port pair is normal.

Abstract: In a touch operation control method, touch operations on a touch screen of an electronic device are controlled. The touch operation is detected when the touch screen is touched, and the touch operation is analyzed to determine whether the touch operation is a tap touch or a hold touch. If the touch operation is the hold touch, a target area is determined from a user interface displayed on the touch screen, and operating options of the user interface that are within the target area are enlarged by displaying the target area full screen on the touch screen.

Abstract: In an image monitoring method, a target area is monitored using a computing device connected to an image capture device, a light detection device, and an alarm device. A current image of a target area is acquired using the image capture device, and an illumination intensity of the target area is detected by the light detection device. A standard image of the target area is referenced from a storage system of the computing device according to the illumination intensity and analyzed to detect presence of unwanted activity of the target area. When the unwanted activity is detected, the alarm device is triggered to alarm.

Abstract: A device for testing a serial interface of a circuit board. The device includes a testing serial interface, a memory, a processor. The testing serial interface is coupled to the serial interface of the circuit board. The processor is electrically connected between the memory and the at least one testing serial interface. The processor is configured for receiving first serial data from the circuit board via the testing serial interface, converting the first serial data to parallel data, and writing the parallel data into the memory, and also configured for reading the parallel data from the memory, converting the parallel data to second serial data and transmits the second serial data to the circuit board via the testing serial interface.

Abstract: A processing unit receives information of the intruder from a detection unit and compares the received information with the camera database stored in a storage unit, to determine a next monitored area that the intruder will enter. If the intruder remains in the current monitored area, the processing unit controls the camera of the current monitored area to capture the images of the intruder and sends the images to the detection unit. If the intruder enters an intersection area of the current monitored area and the next monitored area, the processing unit obtains the camera of the current monitored area and a camera corresponding to the next monitored area from the camera database and controls the cameras of the current monitored area and the next monitored area to capture the images of the corresponding monitored areas and sends the images to the detection unit.

Abstract: A video search device is provided to quickly obtain desired video segments. A video search system of the video search device sequentially reads an audio file and a video file from first predetermined time, and determines whether an intensity of audio signals of the audio file is greater than a predetermined value. An audio signal time position of the audio file is determined to be an index time for searching a desired video segment in response so that the intensity of the audio signal is greater than the predetermined value. The video search system selects a segment of videos of the video file as the desired video segment during a period of second predetermined time based on the index time of the audio file, and stores the desired video segment.
