  • Publication number: 20130042744
Abstract: A silent drumhead, comprising: more than one layer of thin-film drumhead having a plurality of through-holes distributed throughout thereon; wherein the silent drumhead is formed by laminating the more than one layer of thin-film drumhead together; and wherein the more than one layer of thin-film drumhead are adhered together by means of an adhesive layer(s) therebetween. By using the plurality of through-holes to exhaust the air underneath the drumhead, vibrations generated when the drumhead is beaten are effectively reduced. This can mitigate the acoustic resonant effect of the drum shell to reduce the sound level when the drumhead is beaten. Furthermore, the thin-film drumheads that have been used in conventional drums can feed back the touch sense of beating in a totally realistic way to effectively overcome the shortcoming of conventional woven silent drumheads that they provide poor touch sense of beating.

  • Patent number: 8254839
Abstract: A signal transmitting device of the present invention includes a plurality of drums and a sound module. Each drum has a pickup and a wireless signal transceiver, and the sound module includes several wireless signal receivers, each of which corresponds to one of the drums. While the drum is beaten upon, the pickup sends a signal to the wireless signal transceiver, and the signal is then transmitted to the corresponding wireless signal receiver wirelessly. Thereby, the complex wiring process can be significantly simplified or even totally resolved.

  • Publication number: 20110271817
Abstract: A drum-kit rack system allows a bass drum and a hi-hat cymbal of a drum-kit to be attached to the drum-kit rack system. The bass drum is combined with the drum-kit rack system at a lower space of the drum-kit rack system defined by a horizontal bar and two abreast vertical posts of the drum-kit stand, while the hi-hat cymbal is combined with the drum-kit rack system at an open end of the horizontal bar or an extension rod. In virtue of the structure and spectral configuration of the drum-kit rack system, the bass drum and the hi-hat cymbal can be reliably positioned and prevented from sliding away when receiving a beating force.

  • Publication number: 20110174135
Abstract: A supporting seat of a pickup device for a drum cylinder comprises a supporting seat having a supporting portion and a positioning portion at one end of the supporting portion; a positioning portion having a hook shape and an outer side of the positioning portion being installed with a signal output terminal seat; and a pickup device installed to the supporting portion of the supporting seat; the pickup device being enclosed by foam or other soft material. A wireless signal transceiver is attached to the supporting seat and the supporting seat is connected to the pickup device. A battery seat has at least one battery therein and is added to an outer side of the positioning portion of the supporting seat; and the battery seat supplies electric power to the wireless signal transceiver.

  • Patent number: 7795519
Abstract: An enhanced low-noise drum tympan comprises at least two net bodies which are combined to a drum frame; the net bodies being combined by adhesive and being rolled as an integral body. The net bodies are selected from knitted fabrics nets, woven fabrics nets or the combination of knitted fabrics nets and woven fabrics nets. The knitted fabrics net is formed by only wide fabric strips or narrow fabric wires. The knitted fabrics net is formed by intersection of wide fabric strips and narrow fabric wires.

  • Patent number: 7259317
Abstract: This invention relates to a pickup and base structure of a drum head, in particular, a pickup applied to a mesh head or a hard drum head having the base thereof in a hollow L-shape, thereby allowing a vertical space to position a terminal base of a signal line and a horizontal portion in a L shape to form a recess inwards. A shock isolator is integrally formed with the pickup in one piece by clamping said pickup from both above and below, in addition, another shock isolator is fastened on the vertical side on the exterior of the base. The structure is fixed on the underside of the drum head and the shock isolator that is fastened on the vertical side on the exterior of the base is against on a position corresponding to the drum body, so as to form the pickup and base structure of a drum head that is easily to be installed.
