Abstract: A circuit structure comprises a circuit board. An array of opto-electronic devices is provided on the circuit board. At least some of heat sinks are provided in thermal contact with a respective opto-electronic device. A face plate of the circuit structure comprises an array of openings configured to allow air to move along a path adjacent to an opto-electronic device and through a respective heat sink. An air moving device is located adjacent a heat sink and is operable to drive air through a respective opening on the face plate. A ducting structure is provided to direct the air driven by a corresponding air moving device.

Abstract: In a system for charging a rechargeable battery, an electrical device powered by a rechargeable battery has a body that fits into a receiving cavity in a charging base for recharging the battery. The electrical device is provided with a retractable charging terminal mechanism that causes a terminal leading to the rechargeable battery to protrude from the body of the electrical device to make contact with a recessed electrical contact in the base when the electrical device is seated in the base cavity and retracted back into the body of the electrical device when it is removed from the base cavity.

Abstract: Communication apparatus is disclosed that comprises a handset 100 that has an opening 182 in its lower end 180 and a base 200 that has a recess 220 that is shaped to accommodate the handset parallel to the base in either a face in or face out position, the recess having a securing element 300 in its lower end 225. The location of the opening in the lower end of the handset and the location of the securing element in the lower end of the recess is such that the securing element is in juxtaposition with the opening in the handset when the handset is placed in the recess in either the face in or face out positions.
