  • Publication number: 20230406309
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media estimate coasting behavior of a vehicle; identify a scenario associated with coasting in an environment of the vehicle; and based in part on the coasting behavior, generate a trajectory associated with coasting for the vehicle to move in the scenario.

  • Publication number: 20230406346
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media are configured to perform operations comprising: determining whether a first type of condition associated with an input is satisfied; based at least in part on satisfaction of the first type of condition, generating an estimated value of a parameter associated with operation of a vehicle; and controlling the vehicle based at least in part on the estimated value of the parameter.

  • Patent number: 11807236
Abstract: A Coordinating Apparatus and Method is provided between Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Predictive Cruise Control (PCC). The ACC system is configured to provide a target acceleration or deceleration based on maintaining a target distance from vehicles ahead. The PCC system is configured to provide a target acceleration or deceleration based on upcoming changes in elevation and maximizing fuel economy. The coordinating apparatus communicates with the ACC system and with the PCC system, and applies the lesser acceleration or greater deceleration between the ACC target acceleration or deceleration and the PCC target acceleration or deceleration. The apparatus and method may apply the target acceleration or deceleration by way of a vehicle speed control apparatus, such as a vehicle engine controller.

  • Patent number: 11787405
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media configured to perform operations comprise determining, by a computing system, speeds and stations of a plurality of leading vehicles traveling ahead of an ego vehicle; calculating, by the computing system, a coasting viability factor based on the speeds and stations of the plurality of leading vehicles and a speed and station of the ego vehicle; comparing, by the computing system, the coasting viability factor to a coasting viability threshold; and determining, by the computing system, whether the ego vehicle should coast based on the comparing.

  • Patent number: 11634133
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media are configured to perform operations comprising determining a lead obstacle in front of an ego vehicle; determining an optimizable function associated with an optimized preferred following distance between the ego vehicle and the lead obstacle; and generating the optimized preferred following distance based on the optimizable function.

  • Patent number: 11628863
Abstract: A method includes receiving, iteratively over time, sets of data including vehicle dynamics data, image data, sound data, third-party data, and wind speed sensor data, each detected at an autonomous vehicle and associated with a time period. The method also includes estimating a first wind speed and a first wind direction for each time period, in response to receiving the sets of data and based on the sets of data, via a processor of the autonomous vehicle. The method also includes iteratively modifying a lateral control and/or a longitudinal control of the autonomous vehicle based on the estimated first wind speed and the estimated first wind direction, via the processor of the autonomous vehicle and during operation of the autonomous vehicle.
