  • Publication number: 20230265476
Abstract: A method of RNA synthesis via fluid flow apparatus. The method may involve introducing into a first fluid flow module, via a plurality of inlet ports, a plurality of reactants comprising: at least one nucleoside triphosphate (NTP), a reaction buffer, and DNA, a DNA based compound or a DNA based mixture; allowing at least some of the reactants to react within a reaction channel or well within the first module of the flow system; retaining or recirculating the DNA at the first reactor module and allowing reaction products of the reactants to flow into a first fluidic filtration module; and filtering the reaction products within the first filtration module.

  • Patent number: 9446366
Abstract: A modular flow reactor is formed of a plurality of modules, wherein each module comprises a body having at least one conduit passing therethrough, and wherein a plurality of said modules are aligned along a longitudinal axis such that said conduits of said modules are aligned to form a passage for fluid, wherein each module has a length along said longitudinal axis which is less than the length of the module perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The modules are “slices” rather than “tubes” and a plurality of said modules can be aligned linearly so that the conduits form a tube.

    Filed: October 4, 2012
Date of Patent: September 20, 2016
    Assignee: Brunel University
Inventors: Charalampos Makatsoris, Leonid Paramonov, Rakan Alsharif
