Patent number: 10239068Abstract: A gravity-feed spreader for particulate matter may include a rotor. The spreader may be operable for gravity-feed operation with the longitudinal axis of the rotor in a horizontal position. A generally cylindrical rotor housing with a pair of closed, axial ends may be coaxial with the rotor. Entrance and exit apertures for the particulate matter may be formed in the surface of the rotor housing between the closed, axial ends. A rotor driver may be coupled to the rotor shaft for rotating the rotor. An intake housing may include a passageway therethrough for the particulate matter. A gate may be provided for selectively opening and closing the particulate matter passageway in the intake housing. An agitator may be coupled to the rotor shaft for facilitating movement of particulate matter through the passageway in the intake housing.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2016Date of Patent: March 26, 2019Assignee: ICG Saltshooter LLCInventors: Wade Charles Barnett, Matthew S. Publication number: 20190028134Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing Internet of Things (“IoT”) functionality. In some embodiments, a wearable control device (“WCD”) might receive first user input comprising one or more of touch, gesture, and/or voice input from the user. The WCD (and/or a remote computing system (“RCS”)) might analyze the first user input to identify a user device of a plurality of user devices to remotely control. The WCD might establish wireless communications with the identified user device, and might reconfigure its user interface to provide the user with command options to control the user device. The WCD might receive second user input. The WCD (and/or the RCS) might analyze the second user input to identify one or more functionalities of the user device to invoke, and might generate first command instructions, which might be sent by the WCD to the user device, via the wireless communications.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Inventor: Thomas Charles Barnett, JR.

Patent number: 10057391Abstract: An approach is provided for the application of network acceleration technologies to remote node traffic over GPRS tunneling protocols (GTP) in terrestrial mobile communications networks. A proxy device of a first network node receives a stream of data packets that are encapsulated in accordance with GTP. Each GTP packet is de-encapsulated by stripping GTP header from the packet, identifying the TEID (reflecting a respective GTP flow with which the GTP packet is associated), and maintaining a respective GTP payload (PDU). Acceleration functions are applied to the GTP PDUs, and the resulting acceleration packets are transmitted communications network link(s) to a proxy of a second network node. The second node proxy device receives the transmitted packets, and re-encapsulates each packet, in accordance with the GTP protocol, based at least in part on the respective TEID of the packet.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2015Date of Patent: August 21, 2018Assignee: Hughes Network Systems, LLCInventors: Sandeep Ahluwalia, George Choquette, Charles Barnett

Patent number: 8901403Abstract: An improved adjustable stringed instrument apparatus, hereafter known as ‘support’, ‘instrument support’ or ‘guitar support’, that supports the instrument in playing position while the user is in the sitting position. The support attaches to the instrument using magnets and rests on the user's leg. It utilizes a leg rest connected via an adjustable support with a magnet housing at each end of the leg rest. This instrument support has several unique benefits over suction cup-type supports such as secure and reliable attachment to the instrument, non-marring attachment components, and the ability to be attached to a variety of imperfect surfaces and shapes. In addition, magnets have the unique ability to allow location of the support repeatedly at the exact desired location when it is secured to the instrument. Three discrete mechanisms on the support allow for vertical, horizontal, and angular adjustments of the instrument.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2013Date of Patent: December 2, 2014Inventor: Kristopher Charles Barnett

Patent number: 8665028Abstract: An amplifier with integrated filter (e.g., an LNA) is described. In one design, the amplifier may include a gain stage, a filter stage, and a buffer stage. The gain stage may provide signal amplification for an input signal. The filter stage may provide filtering for the input signal. The buffer stage may buffer a filtered signal from the filter stage. The amplifier may further include a second filter stage and a second buffer stage. The second filter stage may provide additional filtering for the input signal. The second buffer stage may buffer a second filtered signal from the second filter stage. All of the stages may be stacked and coupled between a supply voltage and circuit ground. The filter stage(s) may implement an elliptical lowpass filter. Each filter stage may include an inductor and a capacitor coupled in parallel and forming a resonator tank to attenuate interfering signals.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2012Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: QUALOCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Tae Wook Kim, Guy Klemens, Kenneth Charles Barnett, Susanta Sengupta, Gurkanwal Singh Sahota
