  • Patent number: 9111258
Abstract: Methods and Systems for connecting to online meetings are provided. In order to connect to an online meeting, coordinates for the meeting can be discoverable by an image or audio watermark overlaid onto content being shared by the online meeting. A person attending a physical meeting in which at least one attendee device or meeting facilitation device is connected to an online meeting can discover the coordinates for the online meeting by capturing and decoding an image or audio watermark overlaid on the content of the online meeting. The image or audio watermark may include a barcode superimposed on a content screen that can be captured and decoded by the person's computing device. A meetings application client on the computing device can be used to navigate to the coordinates discovered by the person's computing device to enable the person to join the meeting.

  • Patent number: 8464516
Abstract: An exhaust gas treatment device includes an inlet housing having an inlet opening for receipt of an exhaust flow from an engine aligned along a first axis. A main housing includes a cylindrical body portion defining a treatment zone and an exhaust outlet aligned along a second axis extending parallel to the first axis. The inlet housing is in fluid communication with and fixed to an outer surface of the main housing. The inlet housing includes a contoured wall including an end portion positioned opposite the inlet opening, an aperture extending through the wall transverse to the first axis, divergent side wall portions on opposite sides of the inlet opening, and a necked portion having a reduced cross-section positioned downstream of the inlet opening and upstream of the aperture. A component is coupled to the main housing for treating exhaust flowing through the treatment zone.

  • Patent number: 8085928
Abstract: Apparatus and methods provide for the isolation of an inactive cable pair from a bridged active cable pair. According to various embodiments, a bridge lifting block is installed in-line between control equipment and a cable connected to the bridged cable pairs. The bridge lifting block includes a first set of post pairs for connection to the control equipment and a second set of post pairs for connection to the cable block. Mini-bridge lifters are installed in the bridge lifting block between the sets of post pairs. The bridge lifting block may include two cable blocks linked together, with mini-bridge lifters installed in one and corresponding pass-through coils installed in the other. Alternatively, the bridge lifting block may include a single block body having two opposing sets of post pairs with intervening mini-bridge lifters. Additional control equipment may be installed between the bridge lifting block and cable block.

  • Publication number: 20100219150
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a tamper resistant closure system for a container having a body, a mouth or opening and a neck portion. The container is fitted with a cap such as a screw-on or snap-on type to cover and seal the mouth or opening. The cap is configured with a sidewall extending beyond the top sealing portion of the cap thereby defining a peripheral rim for a cavity or an open void created therewith. Fitted over the cap and preferably at least the neck portion of the container is a protective overwrap, such as heat shrinkable thermoplastic band which extends beyond the cap sidewall. The engagement between the band and the cap and container is attained by shrinking the band in tight conformance around the cap and at least the neck portion of the container, with overwrap material extending past the cap sidewall, such extension providing a finger grip tab that may easily be pulled to remove the overwrap when initially opening the container.

  • Patent number: 7275244
Abstract: A web publishing application can generate and save web files to a web server based upon a user's design of a web page or web site. If the user subsequently modifies the web page or web site using the web publishing application, the web publishing application can identify and save only the new web files and modified web files to the web server that result from the user's modifications. For example, the web publishing application can identify which web files are new files and which web files have been modified by comparing the hash values and hash algorithms associated with the web files to the hash values and hash algorithms associated with the stored web files.

  • Patent number: 7061396
Abstract: A locating and monitoring system includes transmitters worn by a person, animal, or equipment to transmit an unique identification code while moving about a facility. The code is transmitted by pulse bursts at diverse times during predetermined time intervals to prevent synchronization with resident signals in the facility. Receivers in the walls or ceilings of the facility respond to the infrared radiation of the pulse bursts and validate the identification code by a checksum of the code through a comparison with a checksum transmitted with the code. The receivers deliver validated codes to arbitrators and receive back signals indicative of the level of an individual assigned to a class wearing the transmitters. Signals from the receivers are received by arbitrators which forward the codes to a CPU for recording start and stop events indicative of movement by transmitters into and out of the reception range of the various receivers.

  • Publication number: 20050125679
Abstract: A portable, heat-sensitive scanner unit capable of electronic communication with a central database storage facility via a computer unit online system (laptop or desktop PC). The scanner unit has an area on its top surface to receive biometric information such as a fingerprint from an individual. The scanned biometric data is to be compared with data previously obtained from the individual, which data has been stored in the central database. A yellow light is activated on the scanner to confirm that the individual's finger has been properly placed on the scanner and that verification is in process. If identification is verified and approved without any restrictions, a green light is activated. If identification is not verified and approved or there are restrictions, a red light will be activated on the scanner unit to alert officials that further processing of the individual must be made.
