  • Publication number: 20250109876
Abstract: Systems and methods executable by a building management system for controlling air cleanliness in a building space are provided. An exemplary method includes predicting an occupancy of the building space during a future time period, identifying an occupant predicted to occupy the building space during the future time period based on the predicted occupancy, obtaining an occupant-specific air cleanliness requirement for the identified occupant, using a predictive air cleanliness model for the building space and the occupant-specific air cleanliness requirement to generate control parameters for building equipment that operate to affect the air cleanliness in the building space, and operating the building equipment using the control parameters to affect the air cleanliness in the building space during the future time period.

  • Patent number: 12265366
Abstract: A method for controlling building equipment includes generating building data relating to conditions in a building space using a generative artificial intelligence model. The method also includes determining whether the building data correspond to conditions in the building space that comply with one or more regulations or certification standards. The method includes, in response to determining that the building data correspond to conditions in the building space that comply with the one or more regulations or certification standards, using the building data to operate building equipment that serve the building space.

  • Publication number: 20240207468
Abstract: A disinfection device system of a building comprising: a controller comprising at least one processor and at least one memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the at least one processor, are configured to cause the at least one processor to: monitor one or more conditions of a space in the building; and selectively activate and deactivate at least one Far UV-C disinfection device installed in the space using the conditions of the space and one or more of an energy budget, a target total operating cost, or a net emissions target, wherein the Far UV-C disinfection device comprises at least one Far UV-C light source structured to output disinfecting light at a wavelength between 200 nm and 230 nm.

  • Publication number: 20130315729
Abstract: A radial upblast exhaust apparatus includes a fan housing having a fan inlet to receive air to be exhausted and a fan outlet to expel air to be exhausted. An upper housing is positioned immediately above the fan housing. It includes a first wall section and a second wall section each shaped as a partial conical section being concaved toward each other. The upper housing forms an air outlet nozzle. A mechanism changes the outlet area of the outlet nozzle in order to provide a variable area outlet for the fan.

  • Patent number: 6431974
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for improving air entrainment and sound attenuation of gases being discharged from one or more outlet portions of an exhausting device using an acoustic wind band. The acoustical wind band helps improve entrainment of ambient environmental air with the exhaust gases being discharged from the exhausting device resulting in a tight plume of high velocity flow which improves the effective stack height of the exhausting device. This is achieved by positioning the sections of the acoustical wind band in spaced relation thus forming passages that allow outside ambient environmental air to flow into the acoustical wind band to mix with and dilute the exhausting gas. The sections may also be positioned extending upward and inward at an angle to further enhance the entrainment of ambient environmental air with the flow of exhaust gas from the gas exhaust device.
