  • Publication number: 20080012971
Abstract: A delay circuit is provided that delays the sampling signal by a selected amount in order to ensure that sampling does not occur concurrently with the occurrence of a noisy event. The noisy events on the IC tend to be periodic and occur at regular intervals. The invention allows the delay in the sampling signal to be adjusted such that sampling does not occur at the same time as the reoccurring noisy event. This ensures that the sample signals will not have noise in them resulting from the occurrence of the noisy event. In addition, the delay circuit is programmable to allow the amount of delay to be set on the fly.

  • Patent number: 6862589
Abstract: A diagnostic tool suite is made available to technicians servicing equipment at residential and business locations using a portable device such as a PDA. The PDA runs a main engine that can execute diagnostic modules, with each diagnostic module corresponding to a particular appliance or device that requires troubleshooting, repair, diagnosis, maintenance or installation. The diagnostic modules use a limited number of templates to define possible screen layouts for each screen displayed to the technician. Additionally, the diagnostic module includes a diagnostic flow definition file wherein each record corresponds to a screen displayed to a technician. The main engine uses the template information and the diagnostic flow definition records to fully define a screen to display to a technician. In this way, an extensible, modular, non-specific diagnostic tool suite is available to a technician.

  • Patent number: 6233790
Abstract: A fastener for an outer strap of an air filter cartridge is provided. The outer straps have apertures formed on either end of the strap. An eyelet assembly is secured within one of the apertures. The eyelet assembly includes an eyelet and a backing washer. The eyelet has an annular top placed flush with one side of the strap and a sleeve received within the aperture. The peripheral edge of the sleeve is crimped outwardly to secure the backing washer to the side of the strap opposite the eyelet top. When the strap is secured about a circumference of the cartridge filter, the apertures are aligned and a rivet is placed within the apertures. The rivet has a head and a body. The rivet body pulls the crimped eyelet sleeve and washer toward the rivet head and the ends of the straps are held in firm connection with one another.

  • Patent number: 5954936
Abstract: The invention provides a method and processing system for removing both anionic and cationic technetium complexes from an aqueous solution by adjusting the pH of the solution to greater than approximately 2, and directing the solution into an integrated resin and electrochemical plating device. The integrated resin and plating device has a resin bed or resin membrane in which is disposed one or more cathodes, and one or more anodes. A potential generator produces at least a 1 volt potential between the cathodes and the anodes. As the solution passes through the resin, the technetium complexes are adsorbed onto it. When a sufficient concentration of technetium complexes is adsorbed, the plating process can atlernatively be driven to plate out the technetium onto the cathodes, or to collect various species in system anolytes/catholytes.
