  • Patent number: 11727239
Abstract: A secure asset supply cabinet comprises bins for holding assets and a programmable lock. The programmable lock comprises a short range wireless interface (e.g. RFID or NFC) and a physical lock actuatable by processing circuitry. The programmable lock receives an unlock code via the short range wireless interface, e.g. by a user entering credentials on a portable wireless device. The received unlock code is authenticated based on an authentication or lock code. If the unlock code is authentic, the physical lock is actuated to unlock the asset supply cabinet. Each bin may have a wireless asset tag on its surface. Each tag may comprise a user-actuatable button and be encoded with a unique ID. When a user performs a predetermined gesture with the button, such as pressing it twice, a restock message including the ID is transmitted to a wireless access point.

  • Publication number: 20230205154
Abstract: An aerosol delivery device is provided that includes a power source, a heating element, a switch coupled to and between the power source and the heating element, and processing circuitry coupled to the switch. The processing circuitry outputs a PWM signal during a heating time period to cause the switch to switchably connect and disconnect the output voltage to the heating element to power the heating element. The processing circuitry outputs a pulse of known current to the heating element, and measure voltage across the heating element, between adjacent pulses of the PWM signal. And the processing circuitry calculates the resistance of the heating element based on the known current and the voltage, calculates the temperature of the heating element based on the resistance, and adjusts a duty cycle of the PWM signal when the temperature deviates from a predetermined target.

  • Patent number: 11652045
Abstract: An example via contact patterning method includes providing a pattern of alternating trench contacts and gates over a support structure. For each pair of adjacent trench contacts and gates, a trench contact is electrically insulated from an adjacent gate by a dielectric material and/or multiple layers of different dielectric materials, and the gates are recessed with respect to the trench contacts. The method further includes wrapping a protective layer of one or more dielectric materials, and a sacrificial helmet material on top of the trench contacts to protect them during the via contact patterning and etch processes for forming via contacts over one or more gates. Such a method may advantageously allow increasing the edge placement error margin for forming via contacts of metallization stacks.

  • Publication number: 20230116393
Abstract: Techniques are described for determining a duration for a transition and alteration of the appearance of a user interface (UI) from a first UI state to a second UI state over the transition duration according to a timing function that specifies different rates of change in appearance over the course of the transition and is derived by adjusting a master timing function that is used to control a plurality of transitions in the UI to span the transition duration for the transition. A time value of an inflection point within the timing function is determined and the transition duration is divided into a first portion and a second portion so that the first portion extends from the beginning of the transition duration to the time value of the inflection point, and the second portion extends from the time value of the inflection point to the end of the transition duration.
