  • Patent number: 8641336
Abstract: A tool holder. Implementations include a base unit which receives a shank of a cutting tool. A dowel movably coupled to the base unit engages an indentation in the shank under spring bias force to removably couple the cutting tool with the base unit. A sleeve slidably couples over the base unit, the sliding of which causes the dowel to ride in a first slot in the base unit and simultaneously in a second slot in the sleeve, causing the dowel to engage the indentation when the sleeve is slid in one direction and disengage the indentation when the sleeve is slid the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 7153069
Abstract: A quick change tool holder is provided for cutter inserts on machine tools which comprises a housing which is adapted to receive and conform to the shape of a cutter insert. A pivoting arm is mounted in the insert housing and rotates about a pivot therein. The pivoting arm has a clamp portion extending from the pivot to a position over a seat portion which is adapted to engage a cutter insert. In addition, the pivoting arm has an arm extending from the pivot opposite the clamp portion. Lastly, a cam is engaged by a distal end of the arm. The cam has a clamp position which forces the clamp portion to engage a cutter insert and a release position which forces the clamp portion to disengage from a cutter insert to allow thereof. The cam moves between the release position and the clamp position.

  • Patent number: 4967614
Abstract: Apparatus for installing a cleat on the sole of a golf shoe. The cleat includes a pair of apertures which each open outwardly away from the sole of the golf shoe and includes an externally threaded screw on the back of the cleat which turns into an internally threaded aperture formed in the sole of the golf shoe. The apparatus includes a pair of feet each shaped to engage the cleat by fitting in one of the cleat apertures. The apparatus is rotated to turn the cleat and rotate the externally threaded cleat screw into the internally threaded sole aperture. While the apparatus is being rotated, it can be tilted with respect to the sole of the golf shoe without causing either of the cleat--engaging feet to lift free from its associated aperture in the cleat.
