Patent number: 10762040Abstract: Schematized data roaming is described herein. In one or more implementations, a cloud service includes a cloud data store that is configured to store schematized data comprising user preferences and settings of client devices associated with a user profile. The schematized data includes a schema that is shared across the client devices and globally defined by the cloud service which enables the user preferences and setting to be re-used across multiple devices and device classes, including devices that the user has not previously interacted with before. The schematized data includes attributes, for each schematized data structure, which provide rules for processing or storing the corresponding schematized data structure in the cloud data store. Such attributes may include a conflict resolution policy, an upload policy, or a partition policy.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2017Date of Patent: September 1, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Daniel Jordan Oliver, Anshul Rawat, Kenneth Martin Tubbs, Charles Aaron Hare, Sriram Srinivasan

Publication number: 20200229535Abstract: A footbed for use in footwear is provided. The footbed assembly includes a resilient, flexible material (e.g. EVA or PU foam) that extends the entire length of the footbed. a heel plate made from a material that is more rigid (plastic, carbon fiber) than the resilient foam attaches to the flexible material. The shape of the resilient footbed defines a geometry that provides support and comfort to the user by reducing peak pressures, improving cushioning, and enhancing foot support. The resilient foam and heel plate defines the shape of the midfoot R2 and rearfoot R1 of the footbed while the resilient flexible foam continues forward to define the shape of the forefoot R3 region of the footbed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 9, 2020Publication date: July 23, 2020Inventors: Von Maurice Homer, Charles Aaron Mutschler, Heath Jarett Reinhartz, Gregory Diharce, Kehlin Swain

Patent number: 10661968Abstract: A container system for mixing and dispensing that comprises two containers, each container holding one or more ingredients. A first container is sealed with a frangible seal. A second container is sealed with a reusable cap and closure. At the time of use, the containers are able to be joined in a way that creates a passageway from one container to the other, which allows the ingredients in each container to mix. When the containers are separated, the first container is empty, and the second container holds the mixed ingredients. The second container can be fitted with the reusable cap closure to seal off the mixed ingredients from the ambient environment.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2019Date of Patent: May 26, 2020Assignee: ELC Management LLCInventors: Jill Marie Hilton, Charles Aaron Curtiss, Stephanie Astrid Lamb-Korsavidis, Agostinho Martins

Patent number: 10583387Abstract: A method for removing carbon dioxide from a gaseous source, the method comprising: (i) contacting said gaseous source with an aqueous solution of a carbon dioxide sorbent that reacts with carbon dioxide to form an aqueous-soluble carbonate or bicarbonate salt of said carbon dioxide sorbent; (ii) contacting the aqueous solution from step (i) with a bis-iminoguanidine carbon dioxide complexing compound, which is different from the carbon dioxide sorbent, to result in precipitation of a carbonate or bicarbonate salt of said carbon dioxide complexing compound and regeneration of the carbon dioxide sorbent; and (iii) removing the precipitated carbonate or bicarbonate salt from the aqueous solution in step (ii) to result in a solid form of said carbonate or bicarbonate salt of the carbon dioxide complexing compound. The method may further include a step (iv) of regenerating the carbon dioxide complexing compound by subjecting the precipitated salt to sufficient heat and/or vacuum.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2018Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: UT-Battelle, LLCInventors: Radu Custelcean, Neil Justin Williams, Charles Aaron Seipp

Publication number: 20120174212Abstract: A connected account provider system allows a user of multiple electronic devices to set up a user account on one device with the device's settings saved in the cloud for application across different devices. A user can obtain secure access to the saved settings using a second (or subsequent) device and can select settings from the initial device to be synchronized to the second device. The system employs client account provider (CAP) software that can be obtained from an independent software provider and is installed on different devices of a user. The CAP client software creates an architecture on a user's device with a CAP client software layer conceptually separate from the device's operating system software. The CAP client software provides extension points for facilitating connection between connected user devices' operating systems and a cloud services layer typically provided by the CAP client software vendor.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2010Publication date: July 5, 2012Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Scott Dart, Lindsey Noll, Ari Pernick, Ling Lu, Kyle Beck, Chris Macaulay, Sean Gilmour, David Perry, Sunil Gottumukkala, Ken Tubbs, Anshul Rawat, Sashi Raghupathy, Patrik Lundberg, Rajeev Dubey, Sergio Dutra, Edson Dos Santos, Charles Aaron Hare, Giles van der Bogert

Patent number: 8082555Abstract: A dynamic proxy object is disclosed that is capable of intercepting calls from a calling object to a target object. The dynamic proxy can imitate the target object so that even though the calling object may be of a different version or type from the target object, it can still communicate with the target object. Specifically, the dynamic proxy can intercept early bound invocation by the calling object, obtain metadata from these invocations, and pass it to an adapter via a set of reflective interfaces. The adapter can also obtain metadata from the target object via late bound invocations, and then compare this metadata to the metadata provided by the dynamic proxy in order to make a determination whether or not the calling object and the target object should be communicating. If so, communication can occur between the calling and target objects in spite of differing versioning or object types.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2006Date of Patent: December 20, 2011Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Charles Aaron Hare, John A.
