Abstract: A toolbox system for vehicles configured to be disposed within vacant space conventionally present between a cargo area, such as a bed of a pickup truck, and an outer sidewall of a rear flared fender. The system exhibits at least one compartment which is securely mounted in position without coming into contact with the outer sidewall of the fender. The compartment is configured to store tools in an easily accessible location. At least one lock may be present on a door of the compartment. The placement of the compartment ensures that its presence does not infringe on the owner's ability to install conventional truck bed accessories such as a truck bed cover, lid, racks, or other similar items.
