Abstract: A polymerisation reactor (1) comprising a circulation loop (2), an inlet for raw material (3), an outlet (5), driving means for (6) circulating a reactor charge within the circulation loop (2), and a pig station (7) for storing, launching, and receiving cleaning pigs. The pig station (7) comprises a lid to cover an opening enabling removal of the cleaning pig. The pig station (7) is constructed as a box with a cylindrical bore connected at both ends to the circulation loop, the bore having a central part with a diameter which is larger than the inner diameter of the circulation loop. At a transitional part at the outer ends of the bore the bore diameter narrows down to be substantially equal to the inner tube diameter of the circulation vloop. Over at least a part of the inner bore substantially half of the circular cross-section is formed in the removable lid.

Abstract: Method of emulsion polymerization wherein a reactor comprising a closed reactor loop is continuously charged with fresh monomers and water phase at substantially the same rate as the rate of an overflow of reactor charge discharged into a secondary line section. The reactor charge is continuously recirculated within the reactor loop. The discharge rate and the circulation rate in the loop are balanced such as to result in a monomer content in the loop of less than 12 wt. %. The secondary line section has a volume of less than twice the volume of the reactor loop.

Abstract: A polymerisation reactor comprising one or more circulation loops with one or more inlets for raw material, one or more outlets, and a circulation pump for circulating a reactor charge within the circulation loop. A by-pass line for by-passing the circulation pump connects a point of the loop upstream of the pump with a point downstream of the pump, both points being provided with a three way valve.

Abstract: A smoker box for a cooking grill is formed to fit between and be supported by adjacent parallel heat deflector bars of the cooking grill. The open top of the smoker box is preferably covered with a perforated lid that can be removably placed onto or hingedly connected to the top of the smoker box.

Abstract: A racquet-shaped swatting apparatus for killing insects comprises a racquet head having a racquet frame and frame opening. Closely spaced electrical wires extend across the frame opening for intercepting and killing insects in flight, while a plurality of light sources are provided on the racquet head for illuminating flying insects. Preferably, the electrical wires of the racquet head frame and the racquet head light sources can be simultaneously activated by the user. The swatting apparatus is particularly adapted for use in low lighting environments.

Abstract: Disclosed systems provide audio recordings from digital television provider networks. Audio recordings are streamed to a customer premises equipment device of a user and, in response to user input, an identifier for the audio recording is transmitted to a music provider. A copy of the audio recording is delivered to a user designated device.

Abstract: A batch of printed credentials each including a polyoptic region including a respective image separately determined during production according to biographic or other information unique to the credential holder, as well as system and a method for producing such credentials. The respective images of the credentials in the batch may convey targeted marketing information. The production process uses credential data retrieved from a data store to print the plurality of customized credentials on a single medium where each credential on the single medium includes an image field based on dynamic data relationships of retrieved credential data.

Abstract: A batch of individualized credentials, e.g., ID tags, event tickets, etc., taken from a credential medium that includes respective polyoptic regions each carrying an encoded image set associated with respective individualized credentials, as well as a system and a method or producing the same. The production process uses credential data retrieved from a data store to create a plurality of individualized credentials on a single sheet medium. The dynamic production process enables inclusion of variable customer or patronage data, or individual object data (e.g., a serial number or object characteristic) on individual credentials using a template file that identifies a type of data to be retrieved from the data store and/or a specified image generated according to the value, nature, or type of the individualized data.

Abstract: A batch of credentials printed on a credential medium having a pattern of lenses (e.g., lenticular or other pattern), as well as a system and method for producing such credentials. A library of encoders is used to encode pixel locations of a plurality of view sets comprising a number of individual image frames. Each view set is associated with a distinct region on a credential having distinct polyoptic properties (e.g., orientation, frequency, shape). Encoded images produced by the library of encoders are combined (e.g., by interlacing or other encoding pattern) into a single print-ready image that is aligned (e.g., registered) with lenses of the distinct polyoptic areas on a medium on which the credential is printed. Encoding may take the form of positioning, sizing, intensifying, coloring, masking, interlacing, interleaving, scrambling, mixing, transformation, alteration, translation of pixels, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: An emulsion polymerisation process using a redox initiator comprising a reductant and an oxidant, wherein monomers are mixed into a carrier liquid, e.g. water, to make a pre-emulsion, which is then supplied to a reactor comprising one or more circulation loops, an outlet, and a circulation pump for circulating a reactor charge within the circulation loop, characterised in that the reductant is added to the pre-emulsion before it is mixed into the reactor charge and the oxidant is mixed into the reactor charge, e.g., via the water-phase feed.
