  • Patent number: 11154816
Abstract: Passive NOx adsorption (PNA) compositions have a formula Pd—NiFe2O4 wherein Pd represents a palladium component, such as palladium oxide, that is adsorbed on surfaces of the nickel ferrite. Such compositions can be synthesized by wet impregnation of nickel ferrite with a palladium salt, and exhibit efficient NOx adsorption at low temperature, with NOx desorption occurring predominantly at high temperature. Two-stage NOx abatement catalysts, effective under engine cold start conditions, include a PNA composition upstream from an NOx conversion catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20210283584
Abstract: An improved catalyst system is provided for the direct decomposition removal of NOx from an exhaust gas stream at temperatures between about 350° C. and about 600° C. that employs an (amorphous CuOx)/Co3O4 catalyst. The catalyst has an amorphous CuOx deposit on the surfaces of particles of Co3O4 spinel oxide. The catalyst is configured to reduce NOx to N2 without the presence of a reductant. The (amorphous CuOx)/Co3O4 catalyst is formed by the precipitation of the deposit from solution onto a suspension of Co3O4 spinel oxide particles. The catalyst system can be employed in a catalytic converter for the direct decomposition removal of NOx from an exhaust gas stream flowing at a temperature of less than or equal to about 500° C.

  • Patent number: 10938684
Abstract: The disclosed technology offers methods of updating a data cube of samples and a display on a client device with a processor. The method provides GUI clients to computer devices; receives initial reports of sample values organized by sampled computing device and sampled aspect of operations, and identified by group membership and super-group membership; receives, from the devices, samples that update reports of sampled aspects of operations; and pushes updated reports to the GUI clients. The GUI clients calculate and update group and super-group aggregate operational status; and display a hierarchical representation of the aggregate operational status of the super-groups and groups and of the operational status of the computing devices, based on the sample values, in real or near real time, as received samples reach the clients. The operator viewing the display of the hierarchical representation is notified of operational aspects that require close monitoring or immediate remedial attention.

  • Publication number: 20210023546
Abstract: Methods of making an iron based catalyst using microwave hydrothermal synthesis are provided. The methods include dissolving iron(III) nitrate, Fe(NO3)3, in an organic solvent to form a solution. Once dissolved, the methods include a step of neutralizing the solution with an alkaline mineralizing agent to obtain a precipitate. The solution with the precipitate is then subjected to microwave radiation to cause a temperature gradient and a hydrothermal crystallization process to form a synthesized product. The synthesized product is subsequently separated from the mineralizing agent. The method includes washing and drying the synthesized product to obtain particles of sodium iron oxide (NaFeO2) catalyst that can be used as a composition for a passive NOx adsorber. A two-stage NOx abatement device for removal of NOx from an exhaust gas stream during a cold start operation of an internal combustion engine is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20200372168
Abstract: A method and system that enables a data owner to write data in an encrypted manner to an immutable ledger, and yet still be able to grant read access to specific data elements, as they were written at particular moments in time, to a requesting party. Examples therefore provide a process for encryption of data onto an immutable ledger in a time indexed manner, together with a process by which a third party can request access to the data stored in the immutable ledger from the data owner, and the data owner can provide them with certain decryption keys that allow the third party to read the data directly from the immutable ledger, again based on time-indexed queries. The data the third party can read is restricted to specific elements only of the data written, and further restricted to within a time range or to a specific point in time.

  • Patent number: 10706037
Abstract: Non-blocking processing of federated transactions may be implemented for distributed data partitions. A transaction may be received that specifies keys at data nodes to lock in order to perform the transaction. Lock requests are generated and sent to the data nodes which identify sibling keys to be locked at other data nodes for the transaction. In response to receiving the lock requests, data nodes may send to lock queues indicating other lock requests for the keys at the data node. An evaluation of the lock queues based, at least in part, on an ordering of the lock requests in the lock queues may be performed to identify a particular transaction to commit. Once identified, a request to commit the identified transaction may be sent to the particular data nodes indicated by the sibling keys in a lock request for the identified transaction.

  • Patent number: 10693251
Abstract: A connector assembly attaches downhole tools to one another to form a tool string. The connector assembly includes male and female subs, each with latch ends that selectively latch to one another. Ends of the subs distal from their latch ends are configured for attachment to the downhole tools. A plug assembly is in one of the subs and a socket assembly is disposed in the other sub; the plug and socket assemblies mate with one another when the subs attach. Mating the plug and socket assemblies forms a signal communication path through the connector assembly so that adjacent tools are in signal communication. The plug and socket assemblies and male and female subs are annular and circumscribe a bore that extends axially through the connector assembly. Downhole tools that attach to opposing ends of the connector assembly are in communication through the bore in the connector assembly.
