  • Patent number: 11904584
Abstract: An insulation panel has a top barrier, a bottom barrier, and an insulation core layer disposed between to the top and bottom barriers. The insulation core layer includes a plurality of discrete hydrated compressed puffed polysaccharide particulates that are mechanically and/or chemically adhered to one another and to the top and bottom barriers. The plurality of discrete particulates defines a plurality of voids within the core layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 12, 2020
Date of Patent: February 20, 2024
    Assignee: TEMPERPACK TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
    Inventors: Charles-Alexandre Vincent, James McGoff
  • Patent number: 11701872
Abstract: An insulation panel has an insulation core layer disposed that includes at least a first particulate and a second particulate of a plurality of discrete puffed polysaccharide particulates that defines a plurality of voids within the core layer. The first particulate is at least partially adhered to at least the second particulate at one or more bonded areas without the use of external non-water-soluble adhesives.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10745187
Abstract: An expandable shipping container may be selectively expandable from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration by applying pressure to the sides of the container. The shipping container may include an inner structure having mirroring halves, each having a central rectangular face panel with bendable rectangular top, left, right, and bottom partial face panels extending from its sides and a square-shape corner panel positioned between each pair of partial face panels. The expandable shipping container may also include a flexible barrier covering an exterior of the inner structure and forming seams between one or more pairs of partial face panels of each half of the inner structure. The corner panels and left and right partial face panels of each half may include diagonal scorelines that, in conjunction with other scorelines, allow the container to be folded in a manner that facilitates convenient expansion.
