  • Patent number: 4652287
Abstract: A substantially uniform blanket of solid carbon dioxide (i.e., snow) is formed by introducing a plurality of low velocity streams of CO.sub.2 solid and gas generally downwardly into a funnel section which exhibits an increasing, generally rectangular cross-sectional area in the direction of flow of the CO.sub.2 streams. Baffle means are provided in the upper reaches of the funnel section and are effective to initially separate the CO.sub.2 streams introduced into the funnel section from one another and to cause the resulting solid carbon dioxide to fall generally downwardly and uniformly throughout the cross-sectional area of the funnel section to thereby form a substantially uniform blanket of CO.sub.2 snow in a container for products to be refrigerated.

  • Patent number: 4496224
Abstract: An improved frame for eyeglasses includes a pair of interconnected rims, each of which is configured to surround and support an eyeglass lens and at least one clasp resiliently secured to the rim and superimposed over at least about 1/3 of the outer surface of one of the rims. The clasp is configured and dimensioned to correspond to the configuration and width of the portion of the outer surface of the rim over which it is superimposed. The clasp is also generally spaced above this portion of the rim outer surface to permit a portion of a user's garment to be inserted between the clasp and the rim. The clasp serves to releasably secure the eyeglass frame to a user's garment inserted between the rim and the clasp.

  • Patent number: 4036488
Abstract: A receptacle for photocopy machines and the like consisting of a C-shaped chamber wherein the top portion has a substantially horizontal section which receives the copies as they are ejected from the photocopy machine. A curved portion which is integrally formed with horizontal portions, inverts the copies 180.degree. so that they come to rest in a tray formed in the third portion of the receptacle. The copies are thus arranged in the same order in which they are reproduced. An opening is formed along the third horizontal portion to allow removal of the copy.
