  • Patent number: 11944927
Abstract: The disclosure is directed toward presses which may comprise planar or curved press plates that can be driven toward and away from each other such as via linear reciprocating movement to press filter media sheets as opposed to using rolls. The press plates can create such features as embossments that may have the ridges and grooves, brands, creases or other such features. The press can create pleated packs or individual panels for non-pleated packs. Additionally, a variety of embossed pleat packs, unique shapes, structural components and other pleat packs that may be formed by presses or other methodology are disclosed as well as filter cartridges using such pleat packs.

  • Patent number: 7550169
Abstract: A foamed milk system for creating foamed milk from a source of condensed milk, a source of water, and a source of pressurized air. The foamed milk system may include a milk inlet system for the condensed milk, a water inlet system for the water, an air inlet system for the pressurized air, and a mixing area to mix the condensed milk, the water, and the pressurized air.

  • Patent number: 5507640
Abstract: An improved heating method and heating nozzle useful in the forming of a two-piece thermoplastic foam cup assembled from two thermoplastic foam pieces on a cup-forming turret machine. The method and apparatus of the invention prevent premature sticking of the foam bottom piece to the foam sidewall piece and result in better sealing of the foam bottom to the sidewall.

  • Patent number: 4811428
Abstract: A bib for children is fabricated of a thermally bonded laminate of vinyl film and polyester fabric materials. The laminate is provided with an embossed finish which is abrasion resistant and washable. A water based, non-leaching acrylic ink is applied to the embossed finish for ornamentation. The bid includes a body portion having interior vinyl and outer polyester sides, top and bottom peripheral edges, and side edges. First and second neck fastening members extend from the top peripheral edge and terminate at overlapping ends which include synthetic hook and loop fastener elements. The bib also includes a pocket formed by a panel which overlies and is thermally sealed to the body portion. A durable pocket construction is provided by employing reinforcing thermal seals to secure the pocket panel to the body portion.

  • Patent number: 4055859
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine for and method of handling sheet material for forming, for example, bib aprons in a simple and economical way. Sheets of material are automatically directed along a feed path to a folding station at which a string or strip is formed into a "V" shape in spaced juxtaposition above the sheet material. Opposed corners of the sheet material are folded over legs of the "V" and the apex of the "V" is thereafter severed to form neck tie elements.

  • Patent number: 4003775
Abstract: A method for automatically producing bib aprons from a continuous web of nonwoven fibrous material. The web is unwound from a supply roll, and beads of adhesive are applied adjacent its longitudinal edges as it is advanced along a feed path. The edges are then folded over the adhesive to provide longitudinal reinforcements, and the web is cut in a direction transverse to its direction of movement to form rectangular blanks. As the blanks continue along the feed path, additional beads of adhesive are applied to each blank in spaced areas adjacent a pair of opposed corners. To produce the neck loop and tie elements for the apron, a single narrow strip of nonwoven fibrous material is positioned over the blank in a direction transverse to its direction of movement, and the center of this strip is pulled in the direction of movement such that the strip forms both the neck loop and the tie elements. The opposed corners of the blank are folded over the adhesive areas to hold the strip in place.
