    Abstract: A mat for protecting the surfaces of equipment from scratching, denting, and chemical action during servicing, particularly well suit for the surfaces of an aircraft during a refueling operation. The mat closely conforms to the surface shape of the aircraft wing and does and cannot be readily moved or damage during use. The mat preferably includes one or more depressions for containing spills fuel and/or accommodating tools and other servicing items and equipment.
