Abstract: An electric machine comprising a stator having a stator winding, a housing accommodating the stator, a rotor, and an air gap having a generally cylindrical configuration. A plurality of circumferentially distributed, radial, first cooling gas ducts are provided in a stator core. Jets of cooling gas are directed to regions of an end winding which are relatively distant from the stator core, in order to achieve impingement cooling thereof. Flows of cooling gas are directed to portions of the end winding which are between the impingement cooled regions of the end winding and the respective front face of the stator core.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cervical plate and bone graft(s) that are capable of being attached prior to insertion of the bone graft into an intervertebral space. After insertion, the vertebrae hold the bone graft and cervical plate in place facilitating the anchoring of the cervical plate to the vertebrae. Further, a screw back out prevention device can be coupled to the cervical plate to prevent screws from backing out.

Abstract: A peristaltic pump cartridge including a continuous flexible tube having two ends and a portion therebetween providing a U-shaped loop for use with a rotor and rollers to provide a peristaltic pump, a cartridge housing having supports for maintaining the portion of the flexible tube in the U-shaped loop external to the housing, the legs of the U-shaped loop leading into the housing, the housing having apertures through which connecting portions of the flexible tube remote from the U-shaped loop have been threaded from the interior to the exterior of the housing.

Abstract: A capo for a guitar and five string banjo that is selectively mounted along the length of the guitar or five string banjo neck for retaining all of the strings of the guitar or four of the five strings of a five string banjo in abutting relation to the frets of the fretboard for the purpose of uniformly changing the pitch of the strings without the need for retuning the strings. The capo consists of a clamp frame that mounts a rubber strip for clamping against the strings and two integral handles that are grasped using either hand for operation and a coiled tension spring to provide the clamping force.
