  • Publication number: 20080100935
Abstract: Molded vinyl sheets with optical quality surfaces and methods for making the same. The vinyl sheets are made by molding liquid vinyl in a mold. In embodiments, the mold forms parallel optical quality flat surfaces. In one embodiment, a stiffening plastic is molded in the middle of the vinyl sheet between the parallel optical quality flat surfaces. In another embodiment, the mold forms one optical quality flat surface while the surface parallel to the optical quality flat surface is bonded to a prism.

  • Publication number: 20060139778
Abstract: Molded silicone rubber sheets with optical quality surfaces and methods for making the same. The silicone rubber sheets are made by molding liquid silicone rubber in a mold. In embodiments, the mold forms parallel optical quality flat surfaces. In one embodiment, a stiffening plastic is molded in the middle of the silicone rubber sheet between the parallel optical quality flat surfaces. In another embodiment, the mold forms one optical quality flat surface while the surface parallel to the optical quality flat surface is bonded to a prism.

  • Patent number: 4391556
Abstract: This process comprises injecting into the formations a liquid organic mixture containing at least one polymerizable chemical compound and a catalyst. The organic mixture reacts with a limited amount of a injected oxidizing gas to give a solid product which consolidates the formations without substantially reducing their permeability. The catalyst is characterized by the combination of lead and of at least an element of the group constituted by nickel, copper and zinc.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 24, 1980
Date of Patent: July 5, 1983
    Assignee: Institut Francais Du Petrole
Inventors: Jacques Burger, Charles Bardon, Claude Gadelle

The organic mixture reacts with a limited amount of an injected oxidizing gas to give a solid product which consolidates the formations without substantially reducing their permeability. The catalyst is characterized by the combination of at least one element of the group constituted by barium, zirconium, cerium, and lanthanides (e.g. lanthanum) and at least one element selected from the group formed by vanadium, manganese, iron, cobalt and zinc.

  • Patent number: 4370078
Abstract: This process comprises injecting into the formations a liquid organic mixture containing at least one polymerizable chemical compound and a catalyst. The organic mixture reacts with a limited amount of injected oxidizing gas to produce a solid compound which consolidates the formations without substantially reducing their permeability. The process is characterized by the combined use of a polyethylenic hydrocarbon and of a catalyst which comprises at least one element of the group consisting of zirconium, cerium, lanthanum and lanthanides and at least one element selected from the group formed by vanadium, manganese, cobalt and zinc.
