  • Publication number: 20250049553
Abstract: An implant delivery device is designed to simplify the process of implant insertion while minimizing the risk of contamination and handling errors. The device includes a body portion and an implant delivery portion. The body portion includes a closed end, while the implant delivery portion is disposed opposite to the closed end and includes an orifice. This design reduces the complexity of the device and procedure, thereby decreasing the likelihood of handling, loading, and delivery errors. Additionally, the device may include features such as a friction-reducing coating, an antimicrobial treatment, and a flexible elastomer to further enhance its functionality and safety.

  • Patent number: 12150886
Abstract: Described herein is an oral appliance. The oral appliance includes upper and lower trays that each include at least one axial spring configured to contact a palatal/lingual surface of at least one tooth, where each axial spring is coupled to the respective upper or lower tray, and where each axial spring is configured to produce and transmit intermittent, cyclic forces to the palatal/lingual surface of the tooth to promote palatal and upper/lower jaw development. The upper and lower trays each include an expansion mechanism to enable adjustment of the size of the upper and lower trays to account for palatal expansion and upper and lower jaw development. The oral appliance includes first and second adjustable hinge arms that are removably connected to the upper and lower trays so that the oral appliance advances the mandible to provide temporary relief from sleep disordered breathing, sleep apnea and/or snoring.

  • Publication number: 20240223871
Abstract: According to examples, a system for providing generation and delivery of a composite content item associated with a primary content item is described. The system may include a processor and a memory storing instructions. The processor, when executing the instructions, may cause the system to access a primary content item, provide a supplemental content item associated with the primary content item, and generate a composite item based on the primary content item and the supplemental content item. The processor, when executing the instructions, may then enable sponsorship of the composite content item and enable publication of the composite content item.

  • Publication number: 20220274855
Abstract: In an immersed membrane system, the influent flows into an open membrane tank. The membrane tank can have multiple horizontally spaced immersed membrane units. The immersed membrane units may have flat sheet membrane elements within a membrane case. One or more ducts are provided in the tank for directing the flow of influent to the immersed membrane units. In some examples, the influent is divided into sub-streams that are fed through baffles to a corresponding immersed membrane unit, optionally in generally equal amounts, optionally in a single pass flow pattern. In a process of operating a membrane tank, the influent flow is directed across the bottom of the membrane tank and divided into multiple portions. Each of the multiple portions is fed directly to the bottom of a corresponding immersed membrane unit located in the tank. The influent may be mixed liquor in a membrane bioreactor (MBR).

  • Patent number: 9625102
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for gas storage and the safe release of gas using cascading burst discs. A vessel for storing gas is in pneumatic communication with a first flow path. A first burst disc is disposed in the first flow path such that gas flow is prevented when the disc is intact. A second flow path is in pneumatic communication with the first flow path and configured to receive gas flow when the first burst disc is ruptured. A second burst disc is disposed in the second flow path and configured to prevent a gas flow while the second burst disc is intact. At an operating pressure, the first burst disc may be punctured by an operator allowing normal use of the system. In the event of a gas overpressure, the first and second burst discs will rupture permitting safe release of the gas.
