  • Publication number: 20240103698
Abstract: In some implementations, a user device may present, on a user interface (UI) associated with a user account, a first UI element. The user device may detect a user interaction, with the user device, indicating the first UI element. The user device may present, on the UI and based on the user interaction, a second UI element, which increases in length in a first direction from a start point, along a closed path around the first UI element and ending at the start point, while the user interaction is being detected. The second UI element completes the closed path when an interaction duration satisfies a duration threshold, which indicates a confirmation of a request for an action associated with the user account. The duration threshold is based on one or more parameters associated with one or more of the action, the user account, or the user interaction.

  • Patent number: 5938717
Abstract: A system for automatically capturing an image of a moving vehicle and recording data parameters, such as date, time, speed operator, location, etc. on the image. A capture window that comprises a predetermined range of distances of the system from the moving vehicle can be set by the operator so that the image of the moving vehicle is automatically captured when it enters the capture window. The capture window distance can be entered manually through a keyboard or automatically using the laser speed gun. Automatic focusing is provided using distance information from the laser speed gun. A database is included to allow the user to search for specified parameters. Data records can be flagged for issuance of citations. A separate office unit is disclosed for retrieving and sorting data records so that field units are not occupied with such tasks. The office unit can be separately connected to licensing databases to retrieve information for issuance of citations.

  • Patent number: 5395584
Abstract: Nickel-base superalloy composition for the repair, coating or rebuilding of the surface of a superalloy substrate, such as a single crystal nickel-base superalloy, to impart thereto surface areas having improved high temperature properties such as hot corrosion resistance. The present compositions are applied by low heat-input welding processes, such as laser welding or plasma arc welding, and are formulated to provide hot corrosion resistance properties and yet to have good weldability properties. The composition contains, by weight percentages, 2-12.5 Cr, 6-17 Cr, 0.5-7 Mo, 0.5-4 Ta, 2.5-9.5 Al, 1-4 Re, 1.5-8.5 W, 0.01-2.5 Nb, 0.5-6 Ti, 0.01-0.7 Yt, 0.02-3.5 Hf, and balance Ni.

  • Patent number: 3982681
Abstract: In a hogshead formed from convolutely wound paper tubes that are cut into complemental halves, reinforcing staves are adhered to the marginal cut edges of each tube moiety, and hinge members, comprising generally two part hinges, are secured to each stave with their turned ends embracing against the remote side edges of each stave to insure structural integrity for the hogshead particularly while the tobacco is being prized; the upper and lower interior edges of each tube half portion includes liners that are rigidly fastened thereto, while end closures having ring members that are arranged concentrically within the liners are fitted within the assembled hogshead to provide it with closure. The staves may be formed from metal that is pressed to expose a series of pointed spikes that may insure the retention of each stave to the paperboard tube, and the hinge means may be designed to provide their partial insertion within said tubes halves to further insure the structural integrity of the hogshead during usage.
