  • Patent number: 12594169
Abstract: An expandable interbody device used as a prosthesis during spinal surgery. The expandable interbody device is configured to be inserted into the space between spinal disks to provide stability. The expandable interbody device includes a drive block, a linkage block, a drive screw, a first endplate, a second endplate, and at least two linkages. Rotation of the drive screw causes movement of the linkage block relative to the drive block and/or movement of the first endplate relative to the second endplate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 1, 2025
Date of Patent: April 7, 2026
    Assignee: MiRus LLC

  • Publication number: 20250339191
Abstract: An expandable prosthetic device used as a prosthesis during surgery. The expandable prosthetic device is configured for use in the extremities of a body such as, but not limited to, use in the expansion of the lateral or medial column of a foot. The expandable prosthetic device includes a drive block, a linkage block, a drive screw, a first endplate, a second endplate, and first and sets of linkages. Rotation of the drive screw causes movement of the linkage block relative to the drive block and/or movement of the first endplate relative to the second endplate.

  • Publication number: 20240341992
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a halo intrinsic traction (HIT) system, comprising a first support, a second support, and a first actuator. The first support can be configured to attach to a head portion of a patient. The second support can be configured to attach to a body portion of a patient, the body portion being below the head portion. The first actuator can be configured to generate an expansion force between the first and second supports.

  • Patent number: 8114626
Abstract: The present invention embraces a fungal strain deficient in nicotinamide riboside import and salvage and use thereof for producing nicotinamide riboside. Methods for producing nicotinamide riboside and a nicotinamide riboside-supplemented food product using the strain of the invention are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20070027095
Abstract: The present invention relates to isolated nicotinamide riboside kinase (Nrk) nucleic acid sequences, vectors and cultured cells containing the same, and Nrk polypeptides encoded thereby. Methods for identifying individuals or tumors susceptible to nicotinamide riboside-related prodrug treatment and methods for treating cancer by administering an Nrk nucleic acid sequence or polypeptide in combination with a nicotinamide riboside-related prodrug are also provided. The present invention further provides screening methods for isolating a nicotinamide riboside-related prodrug and identifying a natural source of nicotinamide riboside.

  • Publication number: 20060188959
Abstract: In invertebrates, Fhit is encoded as a fusion protein with Nit. Outside of invertebrates, Nit homologs are found as separate polypeptides in organisms with Fhit homologs. Therefore, Nit and Fhit are expected to interact physically and function in the same cellular pathway. The structure of the NitFhit fusion protein and interactions between the Nit and Fhit polypeptides are defined. The present invention relates to the identification of small molecules that interact with, and regulate, the Nit protein. The present invention further relates to therapeutic compositions and their uses in regulating Nit activity, thereby modulating cellular proliferation.
