Patent number: 7808673Abstract: A system, method and computer readable medium for capturing check data during a print process is disclosed. The method on a computer system includes observing a print command issued by an application to send check information to a printer. Next, a spool file in a condensed format, such as Extended Metafile Format (EMF), is written to a disk in response to the print command. This spool file read, and subsequently an output file is generated based on information in the spool file. The output file is written in EMF format if the output file contains image information. If the output file does not contain image information, the output file is written in text format. Then, the output file is modified to conform to a template. Lastly, the output file that was modified is sent to an output destination, such as a file storage space, a bank or a printer.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2006Date of Patent: October 5, 2010Assignee: Laser Substrates, Inc.Inventors: Warren M. Publication number: 20100192732Abstract: A universal socket that forms around a fastener to drive the fastener received by the universal socket generally includes a socket housing including a circumferential wall that defines a chamber having an inner periphery and an opening. The inner periphery extends through the socket housing along a longitudinal axis. A plurality of pin members is operable to be disposed in the chamber. A plate member has a first surface and a second surface that define through holes formed between the first and second surfaces. The through holes accommodate a cross-sectional diameter of a middle portion of the pin members but each of the through holes is too small to accommodate a cross-sectional diameter of a first end portion of the pin members. The plate member is operable to connect in the chamber to hold the plurality of pin members in the socket housing. A plurality of pin cap members includes frangible connections with an adjacent pin cap member.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2009Publication date: August 5, 2010Inventors: David Charles Campbell, Marco Alessandro Mattucci, Robert H. Publication number: 20100090090Abstract: Devices systems, and methods can characterize an optical surface of an object. A wavefront sensor system focuses light energy propagating from the object to form a pattern on a detector. The system maps the pattern to an array with a transform function such as a Fourier transform. The values of array correspond to characteristic locations and signals in a transform space, for example an intensity of spatial frequency signals in frequency space. The characteristic location and intensity of these signals in transform space are used to measure the optical surface. For example, a characteristic frequency of a spatial frequency intensity peak in Fourier transform space can be used to estimate the location of spots on the detector. Alternatively, the characteristics can be used to the measure sphere, cylinder and axis of a wavefront, wavefront elevation maps and point spread functions, often without locating positions of individual spots on the detector.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2009Publication date: April 15, 2010Applicant: AMO Manufacturing USA, LLCInventors: Erik Gross, Charles Campbell

Patent number: 7355695Abstract: A wavefront sensor enhances calibration of a laser ablation system, such as a laser eye surgery system, by measuring one or more characteristics of an ablated test surface. Typically, light is passed through the ablated test surface, and the light is analyzed to determine the test surface characteristics. In some embodiments, the ablated test surface is positioned along a treatment plane. In some embodiments, light is passed through a wavefront sensor, such as a Hartmann-Shack sensor, to convert the light into electrical signals. A processor then converts the electrical signals into data, such as surface maps showing high-order aberrations and/or artifacts on the test surface, refractive power measurements, shape measurements, and the like. Generated data may then be used to calibrate a laser surgery system.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2004Date of Patent: April 8, 2008Assignee: AMO Manufacturing USA, LLCInventors: Junzhong Liang, Dimitri Chernyak, Kingman Yee, Seema Somani, Jeffrey J. Publication number: 20070216867Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods often by measuring characterize optical structures and systems, the standard refractive error and irregular aberrations. A retinal spot can propagate through optical tissues of an eye and can be directed to refractive correction optics for correcting standard refractive errors. The corrected image is then directed to wavefront analysis optics, which form a coarse pitch lenslet array pattern and a fine pitch lenslet array pattern. The coarse pitch pattern indicates the standard refractive error of the eye, and can be used to adjust the refractive correction optics. The fine pitch pattern is formed with the corrected retinal image, facilitating precise wavefront reconstruction, measurement of high order aberrations, and the like. The coarse pitch pattern and fine pitch pattern may be formed sequentially or simultaneously.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2006Publication date: September 20, 2007Applicant: VISX, INCORPORATEDInventors: Charles Campbell, Seema Somani
