  • Patent number: 11965393
Abstract: A setting tool includes a housing having an initiator compartment to receive an initiator for initiating combustion of a combustible element, a combustion compartment to receive the combustible element, and a switch compartment to at least partially receive a switch circuit for activating the initiator, a piston configured to impart a setting force against the plug in response to combustion of the combustible element, and an interrupt flowpath configured to connect at least one of the combustion compartment and the initiator compartment with the switch compartment whereby combustion products that may be created in the initiator compartment or combustion compartment would be circulated from the at least one of the combustion compartment and the initiator compartment to the switch compartment to disconnect the switch circuit in response to the activation of the initiator charge.

  • Patent number: 7509736
Abstract: A process for repairing a metallic shroud of a gas turbine blade includes a step of removing a portion of an anti-wear layer to a removal depth that is greater than a depth of wear of the anti-wear layer. Further, the process includes a step of leaving a trace of the anti-wear layer to subsist, wherein the trace of the anti-wear layer extends at least in a re-entrant zone of the Z profile of the blade. The process also includes a step of depositing a new layer of anti-wear material on the trace of the anti-wear layer.

  • Publication number: 20050120555
Abstract: The invention relates to a repair process of a metallic piece, in particular of a rotor or stator blade of a gas turbine motor comprising an anti-wear layer formed by loading by welding of an anti-wear material to a part of its surface and whereof said layer is partially machined, characterised in that it comprises a rectification stage of said layer in which a trace of said original anti-wear layer is left to subsist on at least part of the base of the rectified zone, and a stage in which a new layer of anti-wear material is deposited by welding. The invention in particular relates to turbine blades with a shroud and has the advantage of at the same time ensuring good adhesion of the new layer and preventing the appearance of defects in the metallic substrate.
