  • Publication number: 20240130702
Abstract: A method and corresponding system of identifying coronary artery disease. The method comprises receiving contrast cardiac CT data indicative of a contrast cardiac CT scan carried out on a patient, and analysing the contrast cardiac CT data using machine learning to identify a plurality of seed points in the contrast cardiac CT data expected to correspond to locations in cardiac arteries of the patient. The method also comprises producing data indicative of transverse image slices of the cardiac arteries of the patient using the contrast cardiac CT data and the identified seed points, analysing the transverse image slice data using machine learning to produce inner artery wall data and outer artery wall data indicative of predicted respective inner and outer walls of the coronary arteries of the patient, and identifying presence of coronary artery disease using the predicted inner and/or outer walls of the coronary arteries of the patient.

  • Patent number: 11725999
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring torque on a drive train component of a rotating drive system are disclosed. In some aspects, a system includes a target assembly, a sensor assembly, and a sensor processing unit. The sensor assembly is located proximate to the target assembly, and the sensor assembly includes sensors mounted radially around the shaft and configured to detect sensor targets as the target assembly rotates with the drive train component. The sensor processing unit is configured for receiving sensor signals from the sensor assembly and outputting a torque signal based on the sensor signals. The sensor processing unit is configured for receiving target calibration data for the target assembly and sensor calibration data for the sensor assembly. The sensor processing unit is configured for verifying that the target calibration data corresponds to the target assembly and that the sensor calibration data corresponds to the sensor assembly.

  • Patent number: 11657176
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed herein to secure flexible access to the healthcare information resources (HIR) contained within electronic health records (EHR) systems. By managing access permissions with certified self-sovereign identities and distributed ledger techniques, HIR may be secured. Patients and other users may be registered to access a distributed ledger, such as a healthcare blockchain, employed to set, host and adjudicate permissions to access HIR. Authorized owners and/or patients with rights to their own HIR may be able to grant fine-grained and conditional access permissions to third-parties. Information transfers and transactions occurring according to these permissions may be logged within smart contracts incorporated in the healthcare blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20220228934
Abstract: Torque sensing devices, systems, and methods are capable of measuring and/or determining a torque being transmitted through a shaft by measuring the torsional deformation of the shaft over a short length thereof. Such devices, systems, and devices have a sensor positioned adjacent to the outer surface of the shaft as it rotates, the sensor being positioned to maintain a substantially constant distance between the sensor and the outer surface of the shaft. The sensors may be variable reluctance (VR) sensors rigidly attached to a frame mounted on a bearing (e.g., a hanger bearing), which is mounted on the shaft, such that relative radial motion between the shaft and the VR sensor is minimized (e.g., so that they move in unison). Reducing this amount of motion results in a more accurate torque measurement.

  • Patent number: 9377486
Abstract: Thermal interface material handing is described for thermal control of an electronic component under test. In one example, a thermal control unit is adapted to control the temperature of at least a portion of an electronic component during testing. A pedestal between the thermal control unit and the electronic component conducts heat from the electronic component to the thermal head. A conduit extends through a portion of the pedestal, to permit the flow of a liquid thermal interface material from an external source to a space between the pedestal and the electronic component. The liquid thermal interface material improves heat conduction between the electronic component and the pedestal. An elastomeric seal between the electronic device and the pedestal constrains the thermal interface fluid within the space between the electronic component and the pedestal.

  • Publication number: 20160113105
Abstract: The present invention discloses a vehicular traffic and safety control system that provides motorists with lane closure and other safety information in advance at a distance to allow motorists to anticipate traffic conditions at the site of a lane closure or changing traffic pattern. A portable large screen with LED lighting and messaging can be quickly set up to provide the necessary traffic information. The portable large screen is housed in a three to four foot long cylindrical casing that can be pulled out of a trunk, for example, and displayed quickly. The LED lighting, using current high visibility technology available, can provide important lane closure and other safety information at a distance to assist traffic more safely. Portability and visibility are important features of this invention.
