  • Patent number: 11772484
Abstract: A fully-integrated flow-control module is designed to fit within a filler neck of a DEF tank that conforms to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 22241-4:2009(E). The flow-control module includes a breather cap that locks the flow-control module within the mouth of the ISO filler neck. A spring-biased valve piston, which is controlled by a bleed path within a bleed and float body, opens and closes to control fluid flow into the DEF tank. A fluid level float is mounted on a control rod. The control rod and a bleed valve poppet are rigidly secured to a connector beam. When fluid levels in the tank raise the float, the bleed valve poppet seals a bleed circuit escape port, thereby enabling the valve piston to close, increase fluid pressure at the nozzle, and cause the nozzle to shut off.

  • Patent number: 10851910
Abstract: A fully-integrated, flow-control module for top-fill fuel tanks operates with a fuel line attached that supplies fuel under pulsating pressure. There are two bleed paths in the module, which open and close sequentially in response to the position of a fuel float within the module. In order for a main valve plunger, which controls fuel entry into the tank, to fully close, both bleed paths must be closed. A first bleed path closes first, followed by closure of the second. For the main valve plunger to fully open, both bleed paths must be open. The second bleed path opens first. Movement of the main valve plunger is controlled by both a biasing spring and pressure beneath the plunger. Pressure beneath the plunger builds up to a level sufficient for the biasing spring to fully close the plunger against a valve seat when both bleed paths are closed.

  • Patent number: 9983598
Abstract: A fully-integrated flow-control valve assembly for top-filled fuel tanks incorporates both a float valve assembly and a shut-off valve assembly in a single unit that screws into a threaded aperture in the top of the fuel tank. Whereas all other systems having similar function rely on an inlet valve and a level control/vent positioned apart from one another and intercoupled with a bleed line that runs either inside or outside the fuel tank, the device of the present invention directly mounts the two devices together and allows a simple installation. There is no need for a line that couples two remotely positioned units of the prior art flow-control assemblies.

  • Patent number: 9310009
Abstract: A grease and lubricating oil line coupler includes a nozzle and a receiver which can be intercoupled for grease or lubricating oil delivery. Each component has a normally closed, easily-cleanable, flush-faced mating surface, which prevents the entrance of contaminants into the free ends thereof when decoupled. The nozzle has a handle-operated internal valve with an interlock that is controlled by a quick disconnect slidable collar, which prevents the release of lubricants from the nozzle unless it is coupled to the receiver. Only when the nozzle and receiver are interconnected can the valve be opened; only when the valve is closed can the nozzle be decoupled from the receiver. A high-pressure bleed-off feature returns high-pressure excess lubricant within the coupler to the lubricant storage tank when the handle of the nozzle is returned to its OFF position prior to decoupling it from the receiver.

  • Patent number: 8720487
Abstract: A grease and lubricating oil line coupler includes a nozzle and a receiver which can be intercoupled for grease or lubricating oil delivery. Each component is equipped with a normally closed, sealed poppet, which prevents the entrance of dirt and other contaminants into the free ends thereof when decoupled, and which provides an easily-cleanable, flush-faced mating surface. The nozzle has a handle-operated internal valve with an interlock that is controlled by a quick disconnect slidable collar, which prevents the release of lubricants from the nozzle unless it is coupled to the receiver. Only when the nozzle and receiver are interconnected can the valve be opened, and only when the valve is closed can the nozzle be decoupled from the receiver. When the nozzle and receiver are coupled together, internal parts within the two components move to create a path through which lubricants can flow.

  • Publication number: 20060043017
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method of waste water treatment. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the system comprises a frame, a pump supported in the frame for directing a portion of the waste water slurry stored within a treatment tank to an aerator apparatus effective for injecting reactive gas, such as air or oxygen, into the waste water to form an activated slurry, and out through a nozzle for introducing and directing the activated slurry into the waste water. Preferably, the activated slurry is ejected into the waste water in such a manner as to cause a circulatory flow of waste water within the treatment tank and for reducing the tendency of sedimentation of solids along the bottom of the treatment tank.

  • Patent number: 4799019
Abstract: A load monitoring, indicating, and alarm system monitors electrical continuity through an AC electrical load coupled in a first electrical line with an electrical indicator such as an indicating lamp in a second electrical line coupled in parallel with the first electrical line. A first AC electronic switch such as a triac is coupled in series with the indicator in the second electrical line. The actuating gate of the first AC electronic switch is coupled to the first electrical line. The first AC electronic switch is therefore conducting and the indicator lamp on when there is electrical continuity through the load and power is being supplied to the load. A reactance control component is coupled in series with the load for adjusting the phase angle of gate current to voltage delivered to the gate terminal of the first AC electronic switch. The reactive component may be a second AC electronic switch coupled in series with the electrical load in the first electrical line.
