  • Publication number: 20180001506
Abstract: A rotary cutting die includes a curved die board having one or more product ejector openings formed therein. A compressible product ejector is disposed in the product ejector opening for engaging a die cut product and assisting in the separation of the die cut product from the rotary cutting die. Adjacent the product ejector opening is a cutting or scoring rule for cutting or scoring corrugated board. A reinforcement member is embedded into the die board between the product ejector opening and the cutting or scoring rule. The reinforcement member reinforces the cutting or scoring rule, as well as the die board adjacent the reinforcement member.

  • Patent number: 9222059
Abstract: The present invention provides liquid cleaning compositions useful in cold water and hard water laundry applications, and methods for making and using such compositions. The compositions of the invention use surfactants or surfactant blends, such as ?-sulfofatty acid esters or mixtures thereof (optionally along with one or more additional components), that have increased solubility/stability at cold temperatures, at higher-than-usual concentrations, and/or in hard water, with the composition remaining as a clear liquid. In certain embodiments, the compositions of the invention may be provided in the form of a unit dose, for example in a water-soluble pack or pouch. In use, the compositions of the invention result in an enhanced detergency along with a reduced amount of residue remaining in the machine, on laundered garments or cleaned dishware or hard surfaces, and on the body in personal care settings, and demonstrate a longer shelf-life, particularly when stored or used in colder temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20150076266
Abstract: A drum assembly and a method of laying a line (L) onto a drum (D) uses an oscillator device to apply vibrations to the line as it is being wound onto the drum. The oscillator device (17) sequentially increases and decreases the load on the rope as it is being wound onto the drum, causing differential fluctuations in the tension of the line as the line is diverted away in opposite directions from a straight line path to the drum. The vibrations typically cause a rapidly alternating load on the line, which is additional to any load applied to the line during laying of the line onto the drum. This alternating load typically reduces the available stretch in the line, and therefore assists in compaction of the line on the drum.

  • Patent number: 8960646
Abstract: Apparatus and method for use in handling a load, the apparatus comprising a load bearing elongate member (2) and a load bearing mechanism for paying out and recovering the load bearing elongate member; at least one service umbilical (9, 10) and a mechanism (12) for paying out and recovering the service umbilical; at least one securing member, and a wrapping device (15, 16) for rotating the securing member around the load bearing elongate member and the service umbilical as they are being paid out and to unwrap the or each securing member from the load bearing elongate member and the service umbilical as they are recovered. The rotation of the securing member by the wrapping device is powered by power supplied via a power conduit (25) in the form of an elongate flexible conduit wrapped onto a power conduit drum that has a central axial bore arranged concentrically with the load bearing elongate member during handling of the load.

  • Patent number: 8662778
Abstract: A floor finish application tool and method for applying floor finishes to a floor. Some embodiments are provided with disposable or quickly replaceable features, such as feed lines or reservoirs to eliminate the need for time consuming clean-up operations. Some embodiments are provided with a two portion hinged head having a spreading or distributing portion and a leveling portion to provide substantially uniform floor finish thickness across a floor. Some embodiments also feature an applicator pad composed of at least two different types of material. The first material is a floor finish distributing material that serves a function of substantially uniformly spreading bulk floor finish across a floor. The second material is a floor finish finishing material that is suitable for leveling the already spread floor finish.
