  • Publication number: 20240127521
Abstract: The present technology pertains to supporting contact interactions between avatars. For example, the present technology supports collisions between a collider and a receiver on avatars and effectuating a resulting effect. In another example, the present technology supports contact interactions that result in secondary motion behaviors from portions of an avatar. Portions of an avatar can be manipulated by forces from colliders that are exerted on the portions of the avatar configured with secondary motion. In addition to supporting interactions between avatars and portions of avatars, the present technology also solves other problems that are collateral to the supporting of contact interactions between avatars. One such problem is one of consent to engage in contact between avatars.

  • Publication number: 20240127367
Abstract: A crop prediction system performs various machine learning operations to predict crop production and to identify a set of farming operations that, if performed, optimize crop production. The crop prediction system uses crop prediction models trained using various machine learning operations based on geographic and agronomic information. Responsive to receiving a request from a grower, the crop prediction system can access information representation of a portion of land corresponding to the request, such as the location of the land and corresponding weather conditions and soil composition. The crop prediction system applies one or more crop prediction models to the access information to predict a crop production and identify an optimized set of farming operations for the grower to perform.

  • Patent number: 11959714
Abstract: A method of assembling a bolt handle to a bolt assembly of a firearm includes inserting the bolt handle through a handle opening defined by a bolt body. A distal end of the bolt handle is inserted through the handle opening until the distal end extends past an outer perimeter of the bolt body. At least a portion of a bolt shroud is inserted through a first portion of an aperture defined by the bolt handle. A force is applied to the bolt shroud while the bolt handle is retracted within the handle opening of the bolt body so that the bolt shroud is positioned within a second portion of the aperture. • Patent number: 11946922
Abstract: In various embodiments, methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for estimating greenhouse gas emissions. In particular, methods, systems, and computer program products are presented for the task of quantifying emissions reduction from changes in stocks of soil organic carbon (SOC). The methods apply more generally to tasks that involve quantification of a total or average across a population of land (and/or possibly any space and any time) using measurements at a sample from that population. The sample may not be representative or unbiased. In some examples, estimating greenhouse gas emissions may apply to quantifying the total stock of SOC in land, the total nitrous oxide emissions in land and a time interval.

  • Publication number: 20240107665
Abstract: Electronic devices that include a routing substrate with lower inductance path for a capacitor, and related fabrication methods. In exemplary aspects, to provide lower interconnect inductance for a capacitor coupled to a power distribution network in the routing substrate, an additional metal layer that provides an additional, second power plane is disposed in a dielectric layer between adjacent metal layers in adjacent metallization layers. The additional, second power plane is adjacent to a first power plane disposed in a first metal layer of one of the adjacent metallization layers. The disposing of the additional metal layer in the dielectric layer of the metallization layer reduces the thickness of the dielectric material between the first and second power planes coupled to the capacitor as part of the power distribution network. This reduced dielectric thickness between first and second power planes coupled to the capacitor reduces the interconnect inductance for the capacitor.
