  • Publication number: 20020163483
Abstract: A method for interconnecting at least two microelectronic components wherein the method utilizes connectors are atomically sharp metallic points and wherein the connectors touches contacts on the first and second microelectronic components.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 7, 2001
    Publication date: November 7, 2002

  • Patent number: 6229503
Abstract: A personal display device miniaturized to allow the projection of images directly on the viewer's retina which is a compact and versatile device that further minimizes the potential for total immersion. The display device can be selected for use in the monitor mode or full video and full color or monochrome operation. The invention utilizes miniaturized 2D laser arrays integrated with nonlinear optical processes combining semiconductor technology with optics technology.

  • Patent number: 5453744
Abstract: A multi-channel high-speed digitizer module converts a plurality of analog signals to digital signals (digitizing) and stores the signals in a memory device. The analog input channels are digitized simultaneously at high speed with a relatively large number of on-board memory data points per channel. The module provides an automated calibration based upon a single voltage reference source. Low signal noise at such a high density and sample rate is accomplished by ensuring the A/D converters are clocked at the same point in the noise cycle each time so that synchronous noise sampling occurs. This sampling process, in conjunction with an automated calibration, yields signal noise levels well below the noise level present on the analog reference voltages.

  • Patent number: 4734586
Abstract: A self-contained hermetically sealed foil changer for advancing a portion of foil web into a position normal to the path of a high energy particle beam. The path of the beam is defined generally by an aperture plate and cooperating axially movable barrel such that the barrel can be advanced toward the plate thereby positioning a portion of the foil across the beam path and sealing the foil between the barrel and the plate to form a membrane across said beam path. A spooling apparatus contained in the foil changer permits selectively advancing a fresh supply of foil across the beam path without breaking the foil changer seal.
