  • Patent number: 4523402
Abstract: A sign comprises sign plates arranged edge-to-edge between a pair of mounting bars of L-shape, having a rear limb for mounting to a supporting surface and a side limb which conceals the ends of the plates. At least some of the plates have rearwardly directed limbs which are a push fit on forwardly projecting elements carried by base elements slidably engaged in restricted mouth channels formed on the rear limbs of the mounting bars. The top and bottom plates have extensions which conceal the mountings, and end caps plug into box sections on the side limbs of the mounting bars to conceal the ends of those limbs and the ends of the plate extensions.

  • Patent number: 4318528
Abstract: A mounting device for shallow channel section plates has an elongate base strip (10) from which project a series of heads (12), each head comprising a pair of outwardly convex elements (14). The plate can be clipped resiliently onto any two mutually outwardly convex elements (14). Grooves (24) are provided between adjacent heads (12) so that the base strip can be broken to suit the overall width of the plate or plates being mounted. End spacer elements (28) are provided for accurately positioning two strips end-to-end. The spacer element (28) can be broken away if not required. One or more strips (10) may be slidably carried in a channel member (32) mounted to a support. Alternatively the strips (10) can be screwed directly to a support through slightly elongate holes (26) between each pair of elements (14).

  • Patent number: 4310135
Abstract: A mounting clip for a shallow channel section plate has a flat base with a pair of outwardly convex ribs onto which the plate is a resilient push fit. An end flange projects from the base to close the end of the channel, and can be broken away if not required, so that the clip can be used intermediate the ends of the plate. Three apertures in the base are elongate to allow adjustment of the clip on mounting screws so that the end flange is flush with the end of the plate. The plates can be screwed together back-to-back by connectors.
