Patent number: 7444376Abstract: A method of creating an activation solution for commercial network services is disclosed. The method employs modular, reuseable building block archive files, which represent a higher level of abstraction than simple atomic tasks. After the building block archives files suitable for addressing the needs of an activation solution are selected, innovative logic combines these building block archives to more quickly create an activation solution than is possible working from individual atomic tasks.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2003Date of Patent: October 28, 2008Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Phillip T. Jacobs, David J. Lachelt, Charles E. Fowler, Steve J. Constant

Patent number: 5335185Abstract: An automatic level control system and method provide continuous proportional control of an inlet valve when the level of material in a storage container is between low and high limits. The system includes a main feedback loop and a nested feedback loop to insure proper control of the inlet valve through which material is added to the storage container. The main feedback loop provides a control signal indicating the desired setting of the inlet valve, and the nested feedback loop provides a control signal indicating the actual position of the inlet valve so that the two control signals can be compared for use in accurately moving the inlet valve to the desired position. The main feedback loop includes a computer into which different density values can be input for accurately determining the amount of material in the container as indicated by a weight sensor.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1992Date of Patent: August 2, 1994Assignee: Halliburton CompanyInventors: Alan J. Patent number: 4906203Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a plug connector body which has a pair of female terminals and a U-shaped, sheet metal shorting clip. The shorting clip is retained in an intermediate cavity and has a pair of cantilevered spring contact arms which engage respective side walls of the female terminals. A mating electrical connector comprises a socket connector body which has a cam which engages one of the spring contact arms of the shorting clip and disengages the shorting clip form the side wall of one female terminal when the socket connector body is connected to the plug connector body. A loose piece shroud which is attached to the plug connector body has a lock arm which engages a lock member of the socket connector body to lock the mated plug and socket connector bodies together.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 1988Date of Patent: March 6, 1990Assignee: General Motors CorporationInventors: Christopher A. Patent number: 4352538Abstract: A low profile connector for a printed circuit board is attached to the insulated conductor wires of a wiring harness passive between a connector body and a cover. The terminals have contact bows attached to the leading edges of channel-shaped portions which mount the terminals on ribs in the terminal cavities. The channel-shaped portions have projecting tails under the cover which have aligned slots for making electrical and mechanical connections with the insulated conductor wires. The connector includes a strain relief feature and a panel mounting feature.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1980Date of Patent: October 5, 1982Assignee: General Motors CorporationInventor: Charles E. Fowler
