    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of thermally developing color on a polyamide textile material. The material is first contacted with an aminobenzenesulfonyl azide and then is heated at a temperature ranging from 80.degree. C. to the melting point of the polyamide material for an amount of time sufficient to develop a color thereon.
