  • Patent number: 4852203
Abstract: This improved invention is to provide the user with an easy improved method of edging paint on walls or surfaces usually adjacent to ceilings or other walls or surfaces, with the important provision of being able to paint into the corner of another wall and ceiling. Presently available paint applicators cannot do this. Another provision made is to easily assemble, and replace (with an inexpensive jig or fixture that is part of this invention) and discard used paint pads used with the edger.

  • Patent number: 4730550
Abstract: A seal and retainer assembly for an air compressor piston includes a cup-shaped seal with its marginal edge extending at an angle relative to the cylinder wall, the seal having a notch extending circumferentially at the base of its marginal edge defining a hinge which allows pivoting of the marginal edge relative to the main body portion of the seal which is clamped to the piston. A head plate includes an air intake port for communicating the compression chamber with an air inlet and a discharge port for communicating the compression chamber with a compressed air discharge outlet, each of the ports having a flexible spring closure member cooperating with an inclined valve seat to allow the ports to be open whenever the compressor is shut off.

  • Patent number: 4545405
Abstract: A multi-position pressure relief valve settable to operate at different pressure limits includes an adjustment rod, a valve bias spring and a valve member extending coaxially with one another, the axial spacing between the rod and the valve member determining the pressure limit for the valve. The rod carries a pin adapted to engage a stepped surface of a limit select member, the steps defining a plurality of stop positions for the rod, and each stop position corresponding to a different pressure limit setting. A control knob attached to the rod enables the rod to be manipulated to locate the pin in the stop position corresponding to the pressure limit desired.
