  • Patent number: 7325796
Abstract: A rigid bearing assembly designed to achieve a low tolerance fit to an imprecisely sized, misaligned, out-of-round or otherwise distorted suspension member. Assembly is comprised of a rigid bearing enveloped with a elastomer layer. The elastomer layer is disposed between the bearing and suspension member. Upon insertion of the assembly into the suspension member, the elastomer layer compresses slightly to absorb irregularities and broad manufacturing tolerances in the suspension member while insulating the rigid bearing from distortion. The rigid bearing provides low-friction movement of suspension members about an axis. The polymer layer is sufficiently hard to provide precise location of suspension members under load. The ability to isolate the bearing from irregularities enables lower cost of production of all components. This same ability facilities easy retrofit of the invention to suspension members originally designed for rubber bushings without need for custom fitment or specialized tools.

  • Patent number: 4694481
Abstract: A transportable X-ray apparatus which is adapted to be transported in a transport vehicle mounted external of the transport vehicle. The transport X-ray apparatus comprises includes an elongated vertical mast mounted on a support base, a carriage slidable mounted on the mast, and a radiation assembly which includes a collimator and a tube unit assembly. The radiation assembly is mounted on the carriage and a support assembly is mounted on a transport vehicle so that the transportable X-ray apparatus extends externally of the transport vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4156112
Abstract: A control system for selectively communicating a plurality of sensors with associated remote control devices includes a Master Synchronizer, a transmitter for each sensor and a receiver for each control device. A single signal line is connected to all transmitters and receivers, and a single synchronization line couples the Master Synchronizer to all transmitters and receivers. The Master Synchronizer generates a time frame signal which has a reset portion for resetting all transmitters and receivers synchronously at the start of each frame, and a periodic portion which determines the time slots for each frame and which decrements counters in all transmitters and receivers synchronously. A time division multiplex system is used to communicate each transmitter with one or more associated receivers during a predetermined time slot of a periodic time frame determined by the Master Synchronizer.
