    Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for the blast cleaning of the surface of an object using solid carbon dioxide pellets as the abrasive projected by a gaseous carbon dioxide propellent. The method and apparatus of this invention subjects a portion of a quantity of liquified carbon dioxide contained within a storage vessel to adiabatic expansion to provide a solid phase carbon dioxide and then compressing or extruding the solid phase carbon dioxide to form a plurality of pellets. Another portion of the liquified carbon dioxide is vaporized to provide a volume of gaseous carbon dioxide at above atmospheric pressure which is then used as a carrier and propellent to project the carbon dioxide pellets against the surface of the object to be cleaned. This invention eliminates the need to use a separate compressed air or nitrogen propellent system for a blast cleaning operation.

    Abstract: Holograms are formed in moldable materials of varied shapes and curvatures utilizing injection molding and the like. Instead of the conventional metallizing, there can be sprayed on flakes of highly specular metal made by breaking up a thin coating of metal metallized by conventional metallizing on a removable support. Hologram on one surface of a molding that has a 100% mirror on an opposing surface, is suitable for cosmetic compact case covers or the like. Holograms can also be applied to digital compact audio discs or video discs.

    Abstract: A mechanism automatically mounts end-flanged bags upon a display card disposed in an upright position, with the bags suspended, prior to insertion, in such a manner as to promote movement of the contents away from the flange that is to be engaged by the locking tabs. It includes means for forcing a locking tab of the card out of its plane, for inserting the flange of the bag into the slot formed behind the tab, and for returning the tab through the plane of the card to effect the interlock.

    Abstract: A card for mounting and displaying snack foods and other products packaged in bags is provided, which has a matched pair of locking tabs defined therein. The tabs are forwardly deflected to receive the reversely folded end flange of the bag therebehind, and are then forced rearwardly through the plane of the card to position the upper corners of the bag therebehind. This will provide secure, two-point support for the product bag, while also permitting ready removal at the point of sale. Generally, a multiplicity of bags will be mounted on the card, arranged in rows and shingled columns thereon. In certain embodiments, the tabs are desirably formed with nibs on their upper edge to deform and thereby better grip the bag, as is most desirable when the bag is made of a flaccid material.

    Abstract: A noise control enclosure comprises an assembly of a plurality of panels each having a structural framework on which a sound deadening sheet material is affixed. The structural framework is formed of frame members which have mounting flanges which are disposed about the periphery of the structural framework of each panel. The sound deadening sheet is permanently affixed thereto, for example by a suitable adhesive. Individual panels are removably connected to each other to form the enclosure by fastening means such as self-tapping screws. The sheet material is interposed between abutting frame members of adjacent panels. Peripheral edges of the sheets mounted on the framework or strips of similar material extend between abutting frame members of the structural framework to provide acoustic sealing between panels. The individual panel construction permits on site assembly and disassembly.
