    Abstract: Long distance country codes that are used by a group of users are updated by automatically sending an electronic message to the group of users that includes at least one new or changed long distance country code, in response to automatically obtaining a listing of long distance country codes from an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) website. More specifically, a listing of long distance country codes is automatically obtained from the ITU website. The listing of long distance country codes that is obtained from the ITU website is automatically compared to preexisting long distance country codes that are used by the group of users, to identify at least one new or changed long distance country code. An electronic message, such as an email message, is automatically sent to the group of users that includes the at least one new or changed long distance country code that was identified.
