  • Patent number: 10949539
Abstract: A method may include determining if both of two redundant operating system images for executing functionality of a chassis management controller were found during one or more previous boot sessions of the chassis management controller to be unsecure, wherein each operating system image comprises an integrated kernel and initial file root system stored in a respective first partition of a memory of the chassis management controller, verity hashes of a root file system of such operating system image, the verity hashes stored in a respective second partition of the memory, and the root file system of such operating system image stored in a respective third partition of the memory. The method may also include, in response to determining that one of the two redundant operating system images is secure, initiate verification of such operating system image to determine if such operating system image has indicia of tampering.

  • Patent number: 10747882
Abstract: A verification for a secure boot process may include determining a determined signature for a compendium stored in a memory where the compendium includes a bootloader and an operating system, accessing a verification signature corresponding to the compendium, and comparing the verification signature with the determined signature where if the verification signature is the same as the determined signature, the compendium is verified as secure and a secure boot process is performed with the bootloader and operating system. The compendium may include one or more applications such that the applications may be verified as secure with the verification signature.

  • Publication number: 20120036922
Abstract: A testing module includes a first input, a second input, an output, a decoder module, an analog to digital (A/D) converter, and an output generator module. The testing module receives a throttle position signal from a throttle position sensor of a vehicle at the first input. The decoder module generates a first throttle position based on a length of at least one pulse in the throttle position signal. The A/D converter generates a second throttle position based on the throttle position signal. The testing module receives user input at the second input. The output generator module generates a test signal in a single edge nibble transmission (SENT) format based on the user input and one of the first and second throttle positions. The testing module outputs the test signal to a control module of the vehicle at the output.

  • Patent number: 8034390
Abstract: An automated food processing system and method are provided that allow food to be dispensed, fried and packaged in a suitable container, which may be an individual portion-sized container. In one embodiment, the system includes separate automated modules for dispensing, frying and packaging the food. In one embodiment, an automated dispensing device dispenses a predetermined portion of food from a bulk storage container or food dispensing magazine to an automated fry device that can include at least one circular fry wheel having a plurality of food containing compartments. After the food is fried it is dispensed from the fry device to an automated packaging device. The automated packaging device dispenses food to a container that may be an individual portion-sized container that is retrieved, erected and held into position for filling by an automated container handling system. A conveyor system transports the filled container to a suitable pick-up location.

  • Patent number: 7824721
Abstract: An automated method of packaging cooked French fries in an individual portion-sized French fry container is provided, wherein the cooked French fries are mechanically delivered to a holding bin, an empty French fry container is mechanically scooped into the cooked French fries to fill the container, and the filled French fry container is mechanically deposited at a drop-off location. The cooked French fries may be received on an inlet chute, the inlet chute optionally vibrated to assist gravity in causing the French fries to travel into the holding bin. Seasoning may be applied to the French fries while the French fries are on the inlet chute, optionally restrained by one or more gates. After filling, the filled container may be mechanically shaken. Additionally, the empty French fry containers may be mechanically selected from a plurality of different-sized collapsed containers, mechanically obtained, and mechanically erected prior to scooping.
