  • Patent number: 8663395
Abstract: A warewasher for washing wares includes a housing defining an internal space with at least one spray zone for washing wares. A liquid delivery system provides a spray of liquid within the spray zone. A tank includes an inlet that is connected to a hot water source for filling the tank with hot water. The liquid delivery system receives water from the tank. An exhaust vents heated air from the housing. A final rinse system is connected to a cold water source. A heat recovery system is located between the final rinse system and the cold water source. The heat recovery system transfers heat from the exhaust air to the cold water provided from the cold water source. A valve associated with the hot water source selectively supplements the water exiting the heat recovery system with hot water from the hot water source.

  • Patent number: 5515876
Abstract: A torsion bar assembly for a dishwasher door having a stainless steel torsion bar enclosed in an elongated stainless steel tube such that the bar rotates within the tube as the door is moved between an open and a closed position. One end of the bar and tube are fixedly disposed in a rectangular boss which is fixedly attached to the dishwasher door; and a second end of the tube and bar are releasably disposed in a cylindrical boss which is welded to a door hinge. The bosses are attached on opposite sides of the interior door panel, so that the torsion bar extends substantially the width of the door. The torsion bar is protected from water by the corrosion-resistant tube, and by a pair of quad-rings which are disposed in recesses in the cylindrical boss. The quad-rings prevent water from seeping through the boss and reaching the torsion bar. When the ends of the torsion bar are disposed in the bosses, the bar is spaced within the tube to permit the bar to rotate independently of the tube.

  • Patent number: 4848412
Abstract: A novel method and apparatus to produce a novel woven fabric with a pattern integral therewith. The pattern is formed in the fabric during weaving by selectively stretching the warp yarn between the fell line and the warp beam so that the stretched warp yarn creates an open area and upon release creates an area of high density fill yarn.

  • Patent number: 4828208
Abstract: A table is provided with a single retractable caster to facilitate manually transporting the table from one location to another. The retractable caster is located substantially directly below the center of gravity of the table, so that when the caster is extended to an "on" position, the table can be held in a generally poised condition over the caster wheel, and manually rolled across the floor. A pedestal-type base, having radially outwardly extending feet with glides provides outrigger support for the table during transport. The caster is shifted between the extended "on" position, and a retracted "off" position by simply tilting the table slightly about its base, such that a person having ordinary strength and dexterity can easily and safely move the table about a room without assistance.

  • Patent number: 4462557
Abstract: An electromagnetic disc type tension control in which a spring-like member is located between the electromagnetic coil and the lower tension disc to urge the lower tension disc upward towards the upper tension disc when the electromagnet is being supplied low voltage in order to encourage rotation of the tension discs to enhance the removal of finish and foreign material accumulated therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4454710
Abstract: Method and apparatus to produce a continuous filament textured yarn with unusually low crimp contractions and intermittent crimp along its length. This is accomplished by the use of an electromagnetic tension device to control the draw in the yarn being supplied to a false twist device driven at a speed to provide low false twist in the yarn being twisted. The apparatus includes a control between the electromagnetic tension control and the yarn supply package to prevent the yarn coming off the package from rotating in a full balloon path and consequently prevent entanglement of the yarn in the yarn guides to a yarn consuming machine.
