    Abstract: The technology disclosed herein relates to monitoring pest activity as well as for trapping pests. Insects, reptiles, birds and rodents entering commercial or residential structures are most often referred to as occasional invaders in the pest industry. In accordance with the embodiment, a general purpose device is disclosed that is suitable for trapping a wide variety of occasional invaders, including specific target pests. By trapping such occasional invaders, their presence, and in some cases indications of their quantities, can be monitored.
