  • Publication number: 20240411941
Abstract: An example operation may include one or more of storing one or more statistical models, storing one or more ray-tracing models, simulating a first portion of an audio impulse response via execution of ray-tracing algorithm on characteristics of a venue, predicting a second portion of the audio impulse response via execution of the one or more statistical models on the characteristics of the venue, combining the simulated first portion of the audio impulse response and the predicted second portion of the audio impulse response into a composite audio impulse response, and displaying the composite audio impulse response via a user interface.

  • Patent number: 8887862
Abstract: An acoustical phase plug for use in loudspeakers produces a planar rectangular wavefront, or a wavefront with a desired amount of curvature, from the output aperture of the phase plug device when presented with a planar circular wavefront at the input aperture. The phase plug utilizes a waveguide that equalizes the travel paths from the input aperture to the output aperture. The waveguide essentially eliminates surface discontinuities thereby resulting in the reduction of diffraction of the wavefront travelling through the phase plug device.

  • Patent number: 8467557
Abstract: A coaxial speaker system that minimizes detrimental sound wave reflections from its high frequency speaker. The coaxial speaker system includes a high frequency speaker coaxially mounted within a low frequency speaker. The high frequency speaker includes a sound reproducing membrane, a voice coil assembly and magnet assembly for actuating the sound reproducing membrane in response to an electrical audio signal, and optionally a wave guide horn for directing sound waves produced by the sound reproducing membrane. The wave guide horn has a throat disposed adjacent the sound reproducing membrane and a mouth disposed opposite the throat. The low frequency speaker also includes a sound reproducing membrane assembly and a voice coil assembly and magnet assembly for actuating the sound reproducing membrane assembly in response to an electrical audio signal.

  • Patent number: 8041061
Abstract: A speaker system utilizes dipole speaker drivers in conjunction with monopole speaker drivers in a listening area to disperse a surround sound effect to a listener. The dipole speaker drivers are physically mounted on top of the front left and right speakers and are angled in a way that the surround information is delivered to the listener via wall/room reflections. By reflecting the sound off the walls, the system provides a delayed diffuse audio signal from the dipole speakers, enhancing the surround effect.

  • Patent number: 6059069
Abstract: A loudspeaker horn has straight wall section and a curved wall section. The straight wall section has diverging walls defining a coverage angle and the curved wall portion is connected to the straight wall portion at a point tangent thereto, and has a proximal end disposed perpendicular to the plane of the throat entrance. At least one coverage angle in orthogonal planes has a common apex in the plane of the throat entrance and along the horn axis.
