  • Patent number: 5676343
Abstract: A high pressure water regulating valve is provided having a sealing means capable of withstanding greater interior pressure than previous designs. The valve comprises a base having a passage extending therethrough. The base includes a groove integrally formed in a top surface thereof. An O-ring is situated in the groove and at least one diaphragm is located over the O-ring and the top surface of the base. A pressure plate having a ridge-like clamping bead projecting therefrom is secured to the base such that the diaphragm and O-ring form a seal between the pressure plate and the base.

  • Patent number: 4836497
Abstract: A valve actuator mechanism for supplying a selectively adjustable close-off force to an associated valve. The mechanism comprises a means for urging the valve plunger into engagement with the valve seat with a predetermined initial force and resistive means for generating a resistive force such that the close-off force is less than the initial by a predetermined amount. The resistive force can be selectively adjusted also.

  • Patent number: 4584511
Abstract: A motor-driven rotary actuator includes an electric drive motor adapted to be configured for providing one of a plurality of output torques. A power transmission is coupled to the drive motor and includes a rotatable output shaft and drive elements adapted to be formed of disparate materials selected for transmitting one of the output torques. An electric controller is coupled to the motor for providing rotation positioning control of the output shaft in response to digital command signals.

  • Patent number: 4549446
Abstract: In general, a motorized valve actuator includes an electric drive motor having a rotatable shaft for providing an actuating torque. An output member is provided for operating a valve to be coupled thereto and a gear member is adapted to be mounted intermediate the shaft and the output member and in a first position or in a second position. The gear member includes first means for driving coupling of the motor shaft and the output member when the gear member is mounted in the first position and second means for decoupling the output member from the shaft when the gear member is mounted in the second position. In the latter position, the gear member permits the output member to be driven by a source of power external to the actuator.
