  • Patent number: 5125433
Abstract: A system for selectively delivering cold, lukewarm, warm or hot water to a bath, shower and the like is controlled by water temperature function switches arranged in cascade series at a control panel in order of priority descending to hot water. When a water temperature function switch corresponding to no water flow or water flow at the desired temperature is closed, a low voltage DC signal is sent to logic circuitry which, in turn, sends a low voltage DC signal to appropriate relays which control the operation of solenoid-operated valves, the inlets of which are connected to hot and cold water mains, the outlets of which are connected to a water delivery conduit leading to the bath, shower and the like. The logic circuitry comprises a pulse shaper circuit, a reset pulse circuit and a gate pulse circuit. A flow detector in the water delivery conduit senses when water flow therethrough has ceased, and sends a signal to the reset pulse circuit, which in turn signals the logic circuitry to shut down the system.
