  • Patent number: 7467091
Abstract: A business method and system that effectuates collaboration on Customer Pick-UP (CPU) between one or many buyers (customers) and sellers (suppliers) in a supply community. The method and system have particular utility in markets where the standard terms of sale are Destination Delivered. The method and system enables sellers to create, configure and maintain seller-specific CPU programs having at least one strategy option and at least one CPU allowance unit rate structure option which can be contemporaneously accessed by buyers to identify potential CPU opportunities and then submit a CPU proposal/request, each based on a single CPU strategy option, to one or more sellers, wherein the CPU proposal/request is a collaboration invitation, a supply bid or a request for a lane allowance quotation structured to facilitate structured to facilitate the agreement of a mutually acceptable CPU allowance unit rate consistent with the selected CPU strategy option.

  • Patent number: 7385500
Abstract: A method and system for effectuating the optimum configuration of a duplex tracking device used to track the location and attributes of a mobile asset during a discrete event and the distribution of the data reported by the device so that the owner of the mobile asset and one or more of the owner's business partners can contemporaneously access the tracking data that they require. Each party first specifies a minimum configuration for all events with which they are associated, and then optionally specifies more extensive configurations for classes of discrete events. The owner may also constrain the data that partners can request by specifying access authorities for each class of business partners. The configuration parameters for a discrete event are systematically determined to minimize the data to be reported by the device while still meeting the requirements of all the parties, as constrained by the access authorities.

  • Patent number: 5447651
Abstract: Detergent powders of high bulk density, containing anionic and nonionic surfactant and builders are prepared by spray-drying a low moisture content slurry containing a prepared or pre-manufactured blend of liquid active surfactants to suspend inorganic solids including selected builders. A viscosity adjuster may be added to improve processability.

  • Patent number: 5055217
Abstract: A particulate detergent composition additive is disclosed wherein each particle is an intimately blended mixture of a bleach precursor, a binder and a sugar. The binder is a non-crosslinked polymer having in an unplasticized form a T.sub.g of at least 40.degree. C. Suitable sugars include sorbitol, glucose, sucrose and lactose.

  • Patent number: 4917811
Abstract: Dry, granular bleach compositions comprising an organic peroxycarboxylic acid as the active bleaching agent are obtained by cogranulating the acid with a strongly alkaline, hydratable inorganic or organic salt. These cogranulates show a reduced tendency to decompose or detonate. A typical cogranulate is made from diperoxydodecanedioic acid and dibasic sodium orthophosphate with seven moles of water of hydration. The cogranulates are useful as bleach ingredients in detergent and cleaning compositions.

  • Patent number: 4781373
Abstract: Disclosed is a base, consisting of two identical plates, with a handle attached in the middle by two bolts to stabilize the base. Two extension assemblies consisting of two round tubes, one inside the other, are attached to each end of the base by one bolt each. The inner tubes have holes drilled one inch apart for adjusting the length by moving a pin either in one side or the other. The inner tubes telescope and can turn 360 degrees. This allows the handle to be pulled toward the operator and raised to a perpendicular position, to hold the apparatus at any adjustment level, in the fully extended position. Each adjustment level moves the legs apart by one inch at a time, after reaching the desired starting position. Attached to the outer ends of the adjustment tubes, are "U" shaped stirrups, on an angle, so they rest against the ankles and not cause any extreme pressure against the tops of the feet, when in the fully extended position.

  • Patent number: 4711748
Abstract: A process is disclosed for the preparation of bleach catalysts in aggregate form. The steps comprise adsorbing a manganese (II) salt onto an aluminosilicate support; granulating with a high disrupting force an aqueous slurry of the aluminosilicate bearing manganese (II), and drying the resultant aggregates. At least 70% of the dried aggregates resulting from the process must have a diameter size from at least 250 to about 2000 microns.

  • Patent number: 4655782
Abstract: A bleaching composition is disclosed wherein the bleach catalyst is an aggregate comprising manganese (II) cations adsorbed onto an aluminosilicate support, a binder and a phosphate salt; the aggregates have a diameter ranging from at least 250 to about 2000 microns which aggregates upon dispersion in water for two minutes at pH 10 and 40.degree. C. leave undissolved less than 5% particles of 125 microns or higher. The base detergent powder comprises a phosphate salt and a peroxy compound. It was found that bleach performance improves by having phosphate salt both in the aggregate and in the detergent powder base.
