    Abstract: Apparatus and method for forming a plurality of round wire strands into rectangular shape and winding the thus formed wires into multiple wire coils. The round wires are drawn from supply spools into a rolling mill for pre-flattening the wires on top and bottom surfaces and then moved in side-by-side arrangement through a second rolling mill for flattening the wires on all four sides to the desired dimensions, after which the rectangular wires are conducted to a multiple coil winding machine.
