  • Patent number: 11523702
Abstract: A disposable infusing implement for preparing infused beverages, and method of manufacturing the implement. The implement has on its distal end a separately releasable, permeable textile container which holds an apportioned measure of infusible, dried solids such as tea or coffee. The proximal end of the member serves as a handle for directing the distal end into a vessel of liquid, where it can be agitated to aid in steeping tea or ground coffee. After steeping/infusion, the permeable textile container portion may be disposed of and the handle used again. The textile container's permeable cup part is heated and pressed in a die. Infusible, granulated, dried solids such as coffee or tea are apportioned to fill the permeable chamber, and then a lid and flange are pressed atop to fixedly adhere to the permeable textile container, allowing the implement to be packed, formed and sealed from one side.

  • Publication number: 20210187147
Abstract: An air-permeable body configured to hold a scenting means affixed to an article of clothing, to a personal protective mask or the like. The apparatus includes replaceable scenting means including packets or scented material dissolvable in air. A fastener, such as a clip, or magnet affixes the apparatus to fabric, an article of clothing or a personal protective clothing or a personal protective mask.

  • Publication number: 20160296642
Abstract: Compositions and methods for assessing inflammation in a subject. The present disclosure provides compositions for labeling leukocytes with a 19F-containing perfluoropolyether molecule ex vivo. In some examples, the leukocytes are obtained from the patient, enriched in a whole blood fraction, and then labeled. The labeled cells may be re-introduced into the patient. The leukocytes may accumulate at a site of inflammation, thus permitting non-invasive evaluation of inflammation in patients. The present methods provide a tool for assessing inflammation in a wide variety of autoimmune diseases and may have particular utility in intestinal diseases such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and cardio myositis.

  • Patent number: 4990645
Abstract: An improved process for the hydrocyanation of pentenenitrile which comprises adding solid catalyst degradation precipitate to the hydrocyanation reactor, and operating the reactor at a level of HCN concentration such that the product fluid leaving the reactor has an HCN concentration of less than about 2500 parts per million parts of fluid.

  • Patent number: 4243472
Abstract: A method for batch processing wafers by liquid phase epitaxy (LPE) dipping methods for uniformity of film thickness wafer-to-wafer and uniformity of film on each individual wafer for use in bubble (domain) memories comprising, supporting a plurality of wafers substantially horizontal on a substrate holder and lowering and immersing said wafers into the melt to be deposited as a thin film on each wafer and, while immersed, continually moving the wafers up and down as well as continually oscillating the wafers through substantially 360.degree..

  • Patent number: 4191365
Abstract: A substrate holder for use in liquid phase epitaxy growth of magnetic garnet films for bubble memories comprising a dipping rod having substrate holding means including hooks at one end which confine the substrate securely yet permit tilting movement so as to allow the substrate to assume a horizontal position for liquid phase epitaxy growth in the flux in which the substrate is immersed and to assume a tilted position as the substrate is being withdrawn from the flux for flux runoff. One embodiment discloses a substrate holder for one substrate while a second embodiment shows a holder for supporting a plurality of substrates for processing a batch of substrates in one operation.

  • Patent number: 3962803
Abstract: A dredging apparatus having an improved dredging head in which the suction pump and drive motors for the same are mounted adjacent the clean-out and cutting augers for increased pumping efficiency. The augers include a cooperating plurality of cutting teeth mounted peripherally on the flighting of the auger and extending spirally along the same to provide for a continual shearing cutting surface in a line parallel to the rotational shaft of the augers for more efficient cutting of the fibrous materials.
