Abstract: A pet toy, in combination, including a containment structure having a longitudinal axis and cross section defining an interior volume. The containment structure, which is preferably collapsible, includes a plurality of containment openings along its longitudinal axis exposing the interior volume to a pet during use of the pet toy, and an electronic component in the form of a hollow shell having a shell opening configured therein. A motor having a rotatable shaft extends toward the opening. A power supply for powering the motor and optional microprocessor, the motor, microprocessor and power supply being supported within the interior of the hollow shell. An attractant is affixed to the rotatable shaft and extends through the shell opening, the microprocessor being programmed to control operation of the motor to cause the attractant to rotate intermittently, the electronic component and attractant being visible to a pet during use of the pet toy.

Abstract: A cat amusement system including a user actuated transmitter sized to be held by hand, the transmitter housing an actuation signal generator for remotely controlling a pet activity toy The system also includes a user actuated light generator for generating light at a wavelength and intensity to be visible to a pet proximate the pet activity toy The pet activity toy includes a motor which propels the pet activity toy upon receipt of the actuation signal emanating from said transmitter.

A flexible cover having a top and bottom forms an interior volume and an opening between the top and bottom for gaining access to the interior volume, the pod being sized to selectively pass through the opening to be frictionally secured between the top and bottom and within the interior volume.

Abstract: A vibratory pet toy having a substantially spherical shell with a top and bottom, the bottom having a circular opening. The toy includes a platform being in the form of a circular disc having a disk top, disk bottom and disk circumference sized to fit within and be retained by the circular opening. A plurality of flexible legs are evenly spaced about the disk circumference and extend outwardly of the spherical shell from the disk bottom and a rotational motor positioned within the spherical shell including an eccentric load rotatable by the rotational motor. A power supply for selectively activating the rotational motor completes the toy.

The base has a first surface external to the interior space and a second surface residing within the interior space. A cat scratcher is supported by the second surface of the base for providing a scratching surface within the interior space. At least a portion of one of the sidewalls is at least partially and selectively detachable from the other side walls to expose the interior space, the interior space being completely enclosed when all of the sidewalls are attached to one another.

The housing has an exterior surface supporting a cat scratcher and a cap positioned atop the housing having a geometric center coextensive with the centrally located axis. A rotatable spindle is positioned atop the cap at the centrally located axis. First and second wands each having first and second ends are fixed to the spindle at their first ends and support attractants at their second ends, the wands being positioned diametrically on opposite sides of the spindle such that lateral force being applied either wand or attractant will cause both wands to rotate, together with the spindle, about the centrally located axis.

Abstract: A motorized toy capable of linear movement along a horizontal support surface. The toy includes a body, power supply, first and second wheels/gears coupled to the motor each of which is provided with a shaft. Each shaft has an extension angled away from its ends such that when activated, the wheels, being in contact with the horizontal support surface act to move the toy linearly while selective extensions contact the horizontal support surface causing the toy to wobble from side to side thus emulating the action of a lizard running.

Abstract: A pet toy having a substantially spherical transparent upper housing and substantially spherical lower housing. Within the lower housing is a motor and power source. The motor has a shaft extending vertically from the substantially spherical lower housing to the substantially spherical transparent upper housing, and a plurality of fan blades that are fixed to the shaft such that upon rotation, the fan blades direct air toward the substantially spherical lower housing. The substantially spherical transparent upper housing is also provided with at least one opening located at its top when the toy is at rest and a plurality of attractants each of a mass and size to randomly circulate within the substantially spherical transparent upper housing upon energizing the motor, the at least one opening being of sufficient size to enable attractants to randomly escape the interior of the sphere when the fan operates but is too small to enable a pet to access the sphere's interior.

Abstract: A pet toy having a transparent housing in the form of a sphere. Within the housing is a fan assembly fixed to its interior surface which includes a mass that orients the sphere as having a top and bottom, the fan assembly residing at the bottom. The fan assembly also includes a power source, a motor energized by the power source having a shaft extending vertically therefrom, and a plurality of fan blades that are fixed to the shaft such that upon rotation, the fan blades direct air toward the bottom of the sphere. The sphere is also provided with an opening in the transparent housing located at its top and a plurality of attractants each of a mass and size to randomly circulate within the transparent housing upon energizing the motor.
